Menelik was a liar and a traitor. He was forced to go to war not win, but to make sure Italy does not attack him. It is said he wanted to give more land to Italy, but Italy insisted that Menelik was their slave. Tigrayans did not understand the traitor Menelik's Wuchale Treaty. Tigrayans fought against Italy to defend their country, which menelik has already sold to Italy. The victory at the Battle of Adwa was good for Tigrayans, but bad for Amhara and Menelik.
Menelik acted as a victor. But in actual fact he was a looser. Menelik did not have the mind setup to stand against well advanced European army- it was Ras Menegesha Yohannes and Allula aba Nega who moved the ball rolling against Italy. Menelik brought Italians to settle in Eritrea, which was part of Tigray. Menelik looted Tigrayan historical artifacts like crown, crosses and books. Menelik was an idiot with no farsightedness.
Menelik and his Ethiopia were the enemies of The Black Race and Africa. We need to expose Ethiopia for inviting colonialist to Africa and stand against it.
