The only issue left for discussion on the GERD is minor technical aspects that addresses the future needs of water and power to the population of the region that is expected to double in the next 50 years [Ethiopia's is predicted to double]. Issaias adds that there is absolutely nothing that could bring Sudan and Ethiopia against each other but there are forces behind this conflict. Our ability to influence the region is very limited including in Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen but we will do our part to minimize the negative impact.
In the beginning of his interview, Issaias once again denounced Woyanie's Article - 39 since 1994, by underlining that this is strictly Ethiopians responsibility but he added, "it is my personal opinion because this will be a source of instability in Ethiopia and the region. We knew then that the Woyanies were planting time bombs in Ethiopia by introducing ethnic Kilils and Article 39. ... We had seen this in our history under the decade we were under the British administration and [Qiada al Amma Jebha] Zemene kiflitat that divided us along ethnic and religious lines .... see where Somalia, Yemen, Libya, Syria and Iraq are ... look where Sudan and South Sudan are heading ... Ethiopians need to be aware of the foreign agendas in the region who come in colourful religious and ethnic garbs [NGOs, Jihadis and Arabic slaves]".
