Are the men in Tigray too being molested and raped ?
They are molesting and raping their own women that is why they can not protect their women.
The perpetrator is the supposed protector.

Crimes against women per population has always been the highest in Mekele and Enderta region than in Shire and Axum regions.
Abuse, theft, currency counterfeit - Birr and foreign currency, theft of public property, robbery, home invasion, rape ... mostly directed at women has been high even in stable political condition.
Some example, most of the long distance large petrol trucks are owned by Tigrayans and they would deliver 75% of the haul to the gas stations or the army depots and the rest is sold in the black market. When the Ethio-Eritrea border was opened thousands of jerrycans full of petrol was sold all over Eritrea by Tigrayans.
Likely reason is poverty, economic disparity and population density. If high ranking Tigrayans and army officers are stealing in broad daylight and building three or four high rise apartments in Addis and Mekele, what do you expect the little guys to do?
