Why he is so partial? What about those Neftegnas killed in Wollega? Why he didn't say something about them? I think Metwkel belongs to Beneshangul, and he doesn't have the right to arm Neftegnas only. He is adding oil on fire. Ato Demeke's pro-Amhara & pro his Wollo Amhara settlers' stance in Benishangule-Gumuz [Metekel] WILL backfire unless he pretends to act more like an acting Prime Minister of all of Ethiopia & less like the Prime Minister FOR the Amharas.

Obviously, his "get-armed" advice to habesha settlers [Amharas] will ALSO back-fire against the Amhara settlers not just in Metekel, but in Wollega [Oromia], Ilubabor [Oromia], Bale [Oromia], Gura-ferda [Debub], Gambella, etc, where the silly & Amhara-dominated Derg regime settled millions of starving habesha aka Amhara & Tigre farmers in these regions following the terrible famines of the mid 1980s.

Of course, the Derg leaders & cadres did NOT bother to consult the local/indigenous tribes of these regions to settle millions of starving habesha [Amhara+Tigre] farmers. Many academics & exports on re-settlement policies had warned the Derg regime that a wholesale resettlement of aliens on lands already occupied by other/indigenous tribes will be like burying time-bombs that would erupt later-on to fuel inter-ethnic bloodshed, ethnic-cleansing & civil wars.

In some of the above listed places, the local population has already been rendered a MINORITY over their own land! [eg. Metekel where Amhara+Tigre settlers are on-par &/or outnumber the locals & Gambella too].

Hence, the time-bombs planted by the Derg regime in the form of a careless mass-transfer & resettlement of millions of starving habesha farmers from Wollo, Eastern Gondar, eastern Gojjam, Northern Shoa .. to Metekel, Gambella, Oromia, Gura-ferda [Debub], etc, have now started to erupt. AND, the worse is yet to come ..

If Demke got kidnaped --if it is true--after 3 years massacre, it is by the cry of the innocent Amharas blood that is flooding Metekle and Welega like a river. He is so slow to save the life of thousands and thousands of Amharas , but as they say, it is better late than never. Saving one man's /woman's life is the same as saving a country.
