We need more signs...

How is your sorrow at the loss of TPLF? The good news is at least we will have peace in the region regardless of who does what regarding business dealings.

Abiy will release Lemma Megersa and possibly Jawar wait for it.

If people think Abyi won’t drop dictator Issayas soon, think again. He dropped Lemma soon after his sell by date. The TPLF is dead and buried What’s Issayas good for after that?

Eritrea and Ethiopia are two different countries. This is not about individuals. It is about two neighbouring countries that need each other for different purposes. Eritrea may need Ethiopia for trade and Ethiopia may need Eritrea for port facilities. It is only the low IQ and defeated TPLF that thinks otherwise.

• Ethiopia is a huge country. All ports in the surrounding countries are needed, for its development. Do you think northern Ethiopia, will be serviced from Lamu? Even if so though, what we Eritreans desire the most is PEACE! If the country to our South don't want to deal with us- that's fine- as long as our occupied lands are back in our hands. We've a myriad of other options on how to make use of our real estate- the Red Sea.

• Lidetu wasn't arrested for criticizing Hgdef (which is allowed) to begin with, so your point is moot.

• There's no Eritrean who'se forcibly returned, so there's nothing to leak. Besides, show the evidence of the leak it there's any truth with this allegation.

Do you think Lemma will join Jawar / OFC? If not, does he have any political future?

Edu, one thing you have missed Eritrea does not depend on any alliances for it's existence. 27 year after the war instigated by weyanes and ensuing no war no peace and sanctions Eritrea never buckled down although all the powers expected it. So Edu, If Aby decides to drop Eritrea as an ally, that would be his loss not ours. Our primary goal was to destroy the blood suckers ( Chigrays) for good and that target has been achieved. Last thing we need is to be left alone. with out trading with Ethiopia if it comes to that, we have enough resources that would last us centuries and hard working people who does not have a cult of begging that would build the country in no time. So edu, mind you who you are talking to.

Eden,

I think you made wrong conclusions. First of all, why do you want to get things both ways. I mean you want to perpetuate the TPLF status qou for Tigray both ways: either if TPLF won or if TPLF lost. You don't care about Ethiopia. For instance,
1) When TPLF was chased our of Amhara stolen territories, you wanted Abiy Ahmed is going to restore Humera, Welqait & Raya under Tigray. This was wishful thinking and you don't care about others. Tigray benefits more by returning any TPLF stolen property and land.

2) When you realized TPLF is dead even not being a guerilla fighter, you wanted to mess the Eritrea relation with Amhara in particular and Ethiopians in general. Someone must be stupid to wanting war, conflict, horror forever. We want peace. Peace creates an infinite opportunities for generations. Give up this TPLF inherit trait of perpetual deciet and hostility.

Let's see the uncorrelated premises you used

1) Lidetu was arrested not because Abiy Ahmed wanted to justify the arrest of the notorious terrorists' Jawar Muhammed & Bekele Geriba. Arresting Lidetu & Eskindir, prominent Ethiopian figures and anti-tribal politics that makes Qeerroo & OLF thugs feel good. It has nothing to do Eritrea. He is an individual. As any Ethiopian, I am sure, he wish positive things to Eritrea people as he does for Ethiopians. Who in his right mind wants perpetual war.

2) You alleged return of refugees. Who is that tampering relations. Return of refugees to normal life is a sign of stability, peace, promising future; and is voluntary.

3) Visit of Kenya and desire use port, this is unrelated again. Ethiopian and Eritrean relation is more than port. Any materialistic framing to reduce people's relation to sea and water is very very stupid. For Ethiopians there is no one closer to us than Eritrea and for Eritreans there is none closer to them than Ethiopians. Our relation is more deeper and the knots that tie us are historical , natural and cultural. Our future should not be framed on access to sea.ሰው በዳቦ ብቻ አይኖርም:: Let's not be shortsighted. The destiny of Ethiopia and Eritrea is naturally tied. Please don't work or think in the failed paradigm of TPLF. We are more than politics.

_ You did not get the signs yet; and will never ever get them in the future too.

Naaa. Kenyatta has washed off his hand of any investment potentials with ethiopia. He is more worried of a possible mass migration into his country as a result of abiy's melosovicianism and his amhara/serb adventurism. Ethiopia's political risk is off the charts. British Ogaden/Somali oil interests might venture in but oil futures dont warrant the risks.

With Rice's protégé at state, Rice as the director of domestic matters, an ailing president at the helm wont be a comfortable arrangement for esu. To say the least, He wont have the elbow room he had the last 4 years.

Egyptian members of the tri-partite technical committee will have a valid reason to call foul as they signed off on a project with a continuity, and not on an on-again, off-again project which brings about huge structural risks. With Serbian-Amhara and Melosovic Abiy, Egypt will challenge the change in political landscape, specially political encrochment of amhara serbians into Beneshangul. Given all the cumulative risks of melosivic abiy and his amhra-serbian army pauses on GERD, Egypt will have no other choice but to station her military in somalia, djibouti, sudan and south sudan simultiniously.

Esu will be frustrated by the absence of tried-and-true processes of reintegration and just fade out quick specially if he faces charges for his recent involvement.

Unless he is a narcissist; yet out to do more damage, Jawar wont involve himself in the political space at this catastrophic stage. If released, he will disappear into academia and publish his thoughts.

It just sums it up how shallow your analysis is. Releasing Kihdetu has no bearing on the relationship between Abiy and Isaias.
If that was the case then Abiy must have put Kihdetu in prison in the first place to appease Isaias? Aye Lowlanderu?
