Welkayit is classified as Tigray... even in 1857, 143 years ago.

የአይጥ ምስክር ድንቢጥ is aigaforum your source?
btw, it doesn't matter what tigray or amhara region say.
what matters is what wolkaits say. they know who they are and they are saying go fck yourself agame! there ends everything. no amount of fake book will change what the wolkaits want.

you guys seem uncomfortable over this historical fact. We told you welkayit current population is tigraway, you told us TPLF did engineered it. We, then, provide you with a document from 143 years ago, and you seem to be very uncomfortable about this, and chose to blame it on Aiga forum???lolllll lol

The author of that book is raisin head tegaru wejerat and Wegera are two very different places Wejerat is Enderta and Wogera is Gonder. Getting Enderta mixed up with Gonder means the source is written by ignorance and stupidity which tegaru survive on
The author also says angote is Amhara that is very true angote is today’s raya which spans from Mersa to Mehoni all that land belongs to Amhara region.
Abergele is Agaw
Welkayt is Amhara
Waldebba is Amhara
Lasta is Amhara
Semien is Amhara
Tigray are slaves and colonized that’s why they need white man like Martin Plaut to write and read books for them they have no Abysinnian writers or books that record Abay tigray. Tekeze is the border between Amhara and Tigray

The few people who were speaking Tigrinya came to Welqait during the Mesafint era to loot Welqait and Tegede at that time; after Emperor Teodros came to power most of the Tigrains left with the Tigrayan warlords, and went back to their home. The few remaining adopted Amharic language and culture and got assimilated. The current few Tigrinya speakers, most arrived in the last 30 years as carpetbaggers settled forcibly by Meles and his henchmen. Some arrived as day and seasonal labourers during the famines locust invasion that strikes Tigray every five years.
Plus, a Ferenji traveler can not teach Welqaits and Tegedes or Ethiopians about their own history. Funny, you are left to talk about Weqait once, you are reduced to you exact size that fits 4 million Tigrayans. As a Werq zer, you were trying to rule the Ethiopia of of 110 million.

Kichamam Woyane - You sound like you hit the jackpot, not realizing the confused priest had misquoted Mr Salt and in fact contradicts himself. See the map on page 10 and his definition of geographic territory between Amhara and Tigre on page 74. You idiot, how did Ras Wolde Selassie or other Tigre Rases govern wolkayit or Lasta (located west & south of Tekeze) when Tekeze was impassible back then? Dededebo, read Salt's own description of the territories on page 279 & 488. KIFU!
