Can Dr. Abiy’s Ethiopia be Rainbow Country with Languages’ Legitimate Queue Based on Their Size?

Can Dr. Abiy’s Ethiopia be Rainbow Country with Languages’ Legitimate Queue Based on Their Size?

I listened an interview given by Ob. Leenco Lata in OBN few days back. He still asserts that Dr. Abiy’s Ethiopia is led by Oromo and the enemies, including TPLF, are trying to undermine this leadership. Is it really so? Is Ethiopia not yet dominated by Amharanet/Amharigna? Is Dr. Abiy not comfortable by maintaining this domination? Are all PAE (pro-Amharanet elites), which are supporting Dr. Abiy, not fighting against Oromumma in order to hinder Afaan Oromo from over taking the primary position in federal institutions? If Ethiopia has to survive and thrive under the “Oromo leadership” of Dr. Abiy, all languages in the country should be prioritized based on their size. Accordingly, Afaan Oromo will take the primary position and Amharigna should have secondary status. In such case, for instance, the working language of ENDF (Ethiopian National Defence Force) will be Afaan Oromo, replacing the currently used Amharigna. Then, general Abebaw from Amhara nation will give an interview in Oromiffaa, instead of general Baaca in Amharigna. Can Amhara elites and the PAE swallow this future fact? Can Dr. Abiy’s Ethiopia be like a rain bow, consisting of all colors (languages), ofcourse, with different size?

ejole, language is not ethnicity. 100% ethiopians speak amharic and only 34% speak afan oromo. when it comes to kilils/regions 6 out of 12 (50%) use amharic as their working language and only 1 use afan oromo. let alone in other regions, amharic is more useful in all oromia cities than afan oromo. afan oromo is no match to amharic. be realistic and know your league to live in peace.

Actually, Amhara elites have already started a campaign to persuade Dr. Abiy’s adminitration ban ethnic parties legally, so that Ethiopian unity will not be jeopardized. Interestingly, this Shows that both Amhara elites and Oromo elites didn’t yet register their role exchange regarding power at Finfinne palace (Caffee Araaraa). Amhara elites brag as if they still have power and Oromo elites yet act as if they don’t have power (“struggle for their right on Finfinne” and beg to have Afaan Oromo as federal working language, instead of just implementing both using their power). Actually, Oromo elites are now in a position to answer all the questions of the Oromo. Why do they hesitate? Just not to be very offensive and not to lose support of others. In the future democratic Ethiopia (de facto Great Oromia), Ethnofederalism is more important for the Amharas than for the Oromo.

Now, it is clear that only Amhara elites and few Amharanized others from different nations are against ethnic federalism and self-determination of nations. Genuine ethnic federalism is actually a compromise solution for all nations in Ethiopia (Great Oromia) to live together – achieving both national freedom and regional integration. The position of Amhara elites regarding federalism and self-determination made them to be not suitable for cooperation with elites of other nations against the TPLF fascists. Amhara elites do prefer unconditional Ethiopian unity rather than self-determination as a precondition for the possible alliance to be forged between Amhara and Oromo democratic forces. Oromos tend to accept this precondition, only if Amhara elites also accept “Oromos’ precondition”, i.e making Afaan Oromo the only working language of the federation, instead of Amharinya. Some Oromo elites make such an exclusive demand to help Amhara elites notice how wrong is their wish of unity with Amharinya as the only federal language. Then, in the future common house – new Ethiopia – they suggest to build, the working language must be only Afaan Oromo. Will they then continue to be pro Ethiopianity and anti Ethnicity, even if Amharinya will be demoted to only local language of Amhara region and Afaan Oromo be promoted to only working language of the federation? I am sure they will not! In case they will stay further to be pro-Ethiopianity and pro-unity as they seem to believe now, let’s then try this new version of Ethiopianity with Afaan Oromo instead of Amharinya as federal working language.

Since when have you started to consider the ODP leaders as Oromo? Haven't you been constantly discrediting them as neftegna? Now that TPLF is no more, you are starting to see who is who for real? It won't be too long before you call General Bacha as Gobena. Your kinds are only full of bull crap denying the very identity of their own people for cheap political ploy.

Take pride in what the PM has been able to accomplish in at least the past few weeks as he is your own. Hating on Amharic language can't be an only political ideology to sustain your misplaced "struggle".

You are just one Amharaphob who believes in pulling down Amhara a notch to achieve the so-called Oromuma domination. If you are talking size as we speak all areas speak their languages in their own area so in that case that is achieved. If you are talking about national languages -- size-wise Oromafia and Amharic languages are in par .. no significant difference exists. so Amhara and Oromo have to learn each other's languages. All others since they have to learn their own languages they should be given a chance to choose between the two languages. If they chose Oromiana or Amharina they will not be disadvantaged. But the decision should be their own. But according to you, I guess this is not favorable unless and otherwise, Oromiffa became at the Apex of the pyramid. Unfortunately, that is going to be decided by all other Ethiopians willingness to use it voluntarily. So far though the individuals like you whose eagerness for domination using Bekele Gerbas tribalist method has been a turn-off. So if you want to be accepted by others you need to work with all Ethiopians so that they will be attracted to learn Oromfia because you make them feel welcomed. You got everything backward. You insult everybody unless they listen and do your short Order sp.eak your Oromoffia
