Read what Rene Lefort wrote above. He penned “ after their most reliable leaders had claimed that there isn’t even one army in the Horn which could defeat the Tigrean forces

That one sentence explains how Rene over the years has been used by TPLF — whether it is knowingly or unknowingly could be a matter of debate.
Take the “ most reliable leaders” aside and dissect it. What knowledge gives Rene to reward the most reliable to the TPLF leaders ? Did he talk with any opposition party leaders who share his characterization of the TPLF leaders ? Of course not.
When they told him they will crush any army in the Horn he should not ask how ?
He knows — I think to believe Rene has his brain cells working— TPLF has no airplanes and tanks. He however believes TPLF will defeat any country in the Horn of Africa. Amazing !
For those of you who say Rene has been totally in the dark for almost three decades I say there there is still hope.
Yes, he also says “ they have done incredible miscalculations.”
I however do not characterize it as such. I say their arrogance about Ethiopian politics finally revealed to a degree that even Rene cannot miss it.

3.What could derail this forecast are the Amhara hardliners (Wolkait, Raya, etc.) and above all Issayas. He is certainly misinformed, as in any totalitarian system. He could be willing to take this occasion to definitely get ride of the TPLF. But the opposite is also possible.

Cohen is now saying he has not been paid by TPLF. It is a disgrace for a top American diplomat to be suspected of it, and his trying to defend himself on social media. Something is cooking. All the suspects , who are foreigners, are writing on social media , but we are not sure we ever hear from the TPLF big wigs anymore.
