Lol, I feel bad for people like you, who thinks it's still 1985 and you have allies in the region, from whom you can coordinate military operations.

No, I said they freed tigray, from the derg, this is because of its coordination with shabia and other forces who bogged the derg down. the derg was more concerned with the losses it was suffering in eritrea. losing eritrea to gain tigray, is like losing a billion dollars to make a million lol...
... you see, it [derg] fell because of many things: 1st-eplf, then you have mengistu making stupid decisions thus losing the support of the army, who lost any morale and will to fight, then you have the people who hated the derg all over ethiopia, which had his over-stretched army fighting SLF, OLF, EPLF, TPLF, WSLF, and others...then you have neighboring countries who had a bone to pick with the derg so they backed the tplf, eplf, olf, anyone [sudan helped with military bases, and of course, humanitarian aid, the same way they are welcoming tigrayan refugees today].
