You know what? This bilen song was sang for the weyannies in the 1980s to give them moral and telling them that eritreans stand by them.
I wonder if present day eris would sing such song after the fact.
P.S. the lovely bileni song which you shared with us is a traditional song which bileni play it in wedding ceremonies since long time. The only difference, they of course apply different lyrics not weyanne this or weyanne that.

Weyanne this or Weyanne that ? There are lots of patriotic songs in the Bilen language going back to the méda days of the Great Hajayit Mindal - a family friend.

Artist Aklilu is one of my favorite singers. He mastered the tgrayit language by virtue of being born and raised in kassala, sudan.
BTW, this lovely song was originally sang by the kerenite ABE ABDELLA (RIP).
Man! Is it by sheer coincidence that you sport the nick ABE? I am just pondering about!
In conclusion, I highly appreciate the love you have for tgre songs and please keep it up.

"Batsie leAbay" and bologna 1988, I do recall it vividly.
Good you included the mensayit Bekita Ali. Man! She possesses best voice. Her voice reminds me of an old ethiopian famous lovely artist TSEHAY INDALE. They have similar voice.
Is tsehay indale alive? I hope so.
