U.S. "We are extremely troubled by indications that the victims were targeted due to their ethnicity"

Post by Wedi » 03 Nov 2020, 14:40

We are extremely troubled by indications that many of the victims were targeted due to their ethnicity.

The U.S. Embassy Addis Ababa "We are extremely troubled by indications that many of the victims were targeted due to their ethnicity. We urge the Ethiopian government to quickly conduct a transparent and thorough investigation into this horrific attack, to bring the perpetrators to justice in accordance with the rule of law, and to immediately institute all necessary measures to protect civilians in these areas and other parts of the country.

We join all Ethiopians and the international community in grieving the tragic loss of these innocent victims, we extend our deepest sympathies to their loved ones, and we hope for the full and quick recovery of those injured in the attack. While we grieve, we encourage all Ethiopians to come together in peace and to reject hatred and any escalation of violence.

Wedi, the agame from Adwa,

Why are you Weyane killing innocent Amhara civilians? What are you trying to achieve by the senseless killings of women, children and the elderly?

No matter to what length most have gone to not call the crime by its name, now the international community is catching up and the genocide is being called for what it is. It is very sad that the crime will continue to intensify and so many more Amharas will be murdered until the Government acts decisively.
