Abiy Ahmed trusts Eritrea probably to weaken TPLF he might need Eritrea. This could be a misadventure. TPLF and Tigray will resist to the last person as they do not want to go back to the days of Derg and Haile Selassie. Oroomos and other ethnic groups would not wnat to be second citizens in their own country, thus will support TPLF.
The Tigray people do no care about Abiy Ahmed. No one cares about him. Tigrayans do not hate Abiy Ahmed personally but they do not want to loose their right to self-determination and autonomy and equality which they fought for.
Tigray people support TPLF out of necessity. They rather die with TPLF than fight against TPLF.
TPLF is despotic and abuses power. But these are issues that are not important now. They could be resloved when Tigray and Ethiopia are back to normal, meaning have a government that represents all and treats all with mutual respect and equality.
Issayas Afeworqi is using Abiy Ahmed. Abiy ahmed has made the wrong choice and is on the wrong side of history. Abiy Ahmed should work with TPLF. OLF and other federalist groups.
