Shewa is the Arabic Version of Old Amharic/Geez “Seywa” I don’t know the meaning

Shewa Sultanate was located in Haraghe. Shewa Province is Predominantly Christian And has been the Center of the strong Solomonic Dynasty During 13th and 14th Centuries and then during 19th & 20th centurieS

The Sultanate of Shewa (also known as Makhzumi Dynasty) was a Muslim kingdom. Its capital Wallalo "Brothers in Somali language" was situated in northern Hararghe in Harla (a Somali tribe) country. Its territory extended possibly to some parts west of the Awash River. Zeila have influenced the kingdom. One of the main reasons for the collapse of the Sultanate of Shewa was the attack by Oromos who came from the west.

The name "Shewa" could be an Arabic name.

Shewa Generally Refers to the most southern tip of Abysinnian territory Lake Ziway to Menz. Shewa was mostly habesha until the Oromo invasions an example is Gurage zone south of Addis

Gurage Wonchi-Ziway
Gafat Ambo-Abay River (extincted)
Amhara (Semien Shewa)

Shewa was around 60% Abysinnian in 1500

Horus, We know the Sultanate of Shewa and Shewa Zuriya, and its inhabitants, and also the newcomers. Please stop arguing about TPLF and the lands they gave to Oromo OPDO and let us know what this name "Shewa" means.

"Shewa" could be an Arabic word (لحم مشوي) roasted meat which is from Afar. The Abyssinia farmers do not have the money to pay for the animals and the only time they eat meat is when the rich Afar people travel around their farms and give them the goats, so they say today we will eat Shewa

"Shoa" is similar to the Jewish word "Shoah" which means catastrophe. Probably during the Aksumite Time 2000 years ago or later, Ethiopians were having difficulty to start a new life in Shoa. Shoa or Shewa included the current day Somali region and part of Bale province. Probably also the people living in Shoa were evil-minded and the area was generally called Shoa meaning land of low-minded, evil people or land of people who distrust others.

Menelik was low-minded evil person and is from Shoa. Menelik signed Wuchale Treaty and intorduced colonialism to Africa . Menelik also betrayed Gonder people. He did not fight against Mahdists. This is because he agreed with Mahdists to weaken Yohannes and take over power. This is in general the typical mentality of Amhara Shoa people.

At the time of Sultanate of Shewa's collapse, the Oromos began a period of expansion. The Oromo's exact area of origin and earliest history are still debated. Their ancestors may have originated in the Malagasy or Rwanda, and then migrated to the northern Abyssinia and Southern Somalia, where they intermixed, during many generations, with them. The Arsi and Harar Oromos became fervent Moslems and identified closely with their culture's Somali components. The Oromos, did never have a centralized form of government and did not develop a nation-state.

The Sultanate of Shewa (also known as Makhzumi Dynasty) was a Muslim kingdom, which was established by Somali and Afar people. Its capital Wallalo "Brothers in Somali language" was situated in northern Hararghe in Harla (a Somali tribe) country. Never trust Tigray politicians who kiss children and women, whose eyebrows meet in the middle

King Yekuno Amlak who reigned ca. 1268-1283 restored his dynasty to the throne of Ethiopia after it had been held by the Zagwe dynasty for about 300 years. yekuno Amlak organized and conducted an uprising against the rival Zagwe dynasty from an enclave in Shewa. The name Shewa emerged during at about the same time when these different regional petty kings and princes were running all over the places and fighting each other for loyalty and power using the central highland area coming to be known as Shewa which these waring parties used as their protective safe haven when their survival was threatened from all directions. Because the central highland region provided safety and hiding places during wars and ongoing conflicts the region got the name "Shewa" which means 'rescue' or 'save'. This claim is supported by the Kebra Nagast. The Kebra Nagast or The Glory of the Kings, is a 14th-century national epic account

yabello

bold statement
hese Islamic Sultanates [=states in Arabic] emerged at different eras/times but one major COMMON character that ALL these Sultanates had was that ALL were founded by Arab/Yemeni+Omani slave traders who first dominated the slave trade from the Horn of Africa to Arabia/Persia/India/Pakistan/Indonesia/Srilanka, etc, BUT first from a string of coastal port towns such as Zeila [today in Somaliland].
however unnerving, to which I add to this day.

Of course, these Arab/Yemeni settlers brought with them their own language/s, writing systems [Sabaean alphabet], ARCHITECTURE [eg. Axum Stelae], crafts, culture, myths [eg. the sordid myths of fornication/fucking/prostitution/betrayal that joined the famous Queen of Sheba with the Felasha/Jewish king Solomon, etc].

NO! No! No!
In a way: "Axumite civilisation", just like "the civilisation of the Islamic Sultanates of the Horn of Africa" - was basically AN ARAB/YEMENI civlisation. Both had nothing - or little - to do with local negros. FACT!! ..
