Perhaps the Ethiopian government discovered early on that the TPLF were plotting to assassinate Eskinder Nega and make it look like the work of Qeero, hoping to fuel further ethnic bloodshed in Ethiopia as part of their disintegration planning. The temporary detention of Eskinder Nega, and the minor inconveniences, for that matter, is indeed saving the country from spiraling down into disintegration. It's a small price to pay for the preservation of a country worth saving.

For the politically astute with critical thinking skills, it's not surprising to see Eskinder Nega's detention has become TPLF cadres' cause célèbre. Imagine, if they could do that to Eritreans for over 2 decades when they were in full control of Ethiopia's economy albeit with no outcome, what cold they possibly achieve now when their crooked backs are pressed against Axum Hotel's walls and their stolen stash of Birr melting away? Nothing! Nada! Zilch! They are empty barrels making the most noise.

The criminals and the witnesses are both in Ethiopia and in that sense do have believable interactions with closer proximity whether for the good or for the not so good. So, if you sit in a foreign country in your ivory tower insulated rooms chewing very cheesy king size hamburgers how the hell can you say that the witness based inside the country, Mamma Ethiopia gave bad witness unless you just wanted to make fake news out of the genuine events? If ato Eskinder happens to be even remotely a normal creature he would have joined his wife and children and lived a happy and gratifying family life at least after being freed or liberated by the egalitarian Oromos from the tplf concentration camps after years isolation and getting conditioned to prison life.

No one will take the fake and narcissist shameful endless garbage talks these pathological liars having one leg in Addis Ababa and another leg in foreign country as well as one tongue in Addis Ababa and second tongue in foreign country for singing double songs for power, nothing else but for sweet power alone. The worst cases in their fake stories and fake talks concerns their constant non stop agitations leading slowly but surely in the escalation and intensification of creeping civil wars among the poor and wretched unsuspecting Ethiopians.
