What is wrong with the organizers? We don't need these useless military parades. For God's sake this is a metropolitan city center, what has a military parade anything to do here? This could be an occasion to celebrate hard work and those who made this possible. Sadly, the military parade ruined the ceremony.

Well, military parade , if they are held, has been held in major cities, not in rural district. Having said that I do not know the need to have this parade. If it is to send a message to our friends in Mekele, it is unnecessary. They know the Ethiopian military might compare to the militia of their own they exhibited in the street of Mekele. It is s just an infantile propaganda. There should not be need to retaliate in kind.

It looks to me the republican guard is bored after all the trouble makers are now in jail.
So they are given some kind of useless job like the above to make them feel they are doing something useful.

Where is this Sheger Park located? I hear these days about many parks, Wondemamachoch Park, Sheger Park, Entoto Park, River-Side Park to name some. How many parks are (being) built currently in Addis?

That said and be as it may, I saw the first part of the show and wondered myself if this is Ethiopia's work or that of China.

We owe many things China in Ethiopia today, their loan is almost getting to the point where we can simply crumble under its weight at any moment, China is fast over-taking Africa. Without China we can't make anything on ourselves, it seems. We also live at their good will, I am afraid.

I have nothing against hard-work for we can learn from hard work and we should be grateful for that.

But how much do we understand what they are building in Ethiopia, in our country and in Africa?

For how long have they been already here, and why didn't we learn their skills and replicate it for ourselves?
