Amara were enslaved by Tigray!

Post by EthioRedSea » 15 Aug 2020, 02:47

The amhara were slaves of Tigray (and Eritrea) when Eritrea used to be part of Tigray.
Some of the Amhara or Amara are from Bantu tribe. The way they dance, clad and speak shows their origin.
Even though amharic is semitic, due to slavery and control by the North of part of Ethiopia (namely today's Tigray and Agaw country), the Amhara speak adopted Tigrigna, which is called Amarigna.

There are no historical sites, where one can say the amhara lived when the state of Ethiopia was founded. The Amhara were slaves during the times of aksumite Kingdom. A certain slave by the name Yukno Amlak succeeded to control the government. The town of Gondar become the centre of power. The Portuguese built a series of castles in Gonder, which the Amara are proud of. The Amara present the castles in Gonder as if they were built by Ethiopians or Amara.

Slave Amara,
What is wrong if the Portuguese built the castles? Amare exaggerate and twist facts. Amara did not have the technology or the science to build castles. The Gonder castles were built by Portuguese missionaries. Portugal also helped defeat Gragn Ahmed's savage muslim wars. We are grateful for Portugal for helping us defeat Ottoman turks invasion in Ethiopia around 1530.
