"Local reports have said that in some places ethnic Oromo have attacked ethnic Amhara, and in Shashamane town some people were going home to home checking identity cards and targeting Amhara residents."

What saddens me is the that Oromia police didn't even try to slow down the carnage let alone stop it. What is the benefits of training 500K liyu police in 32 rounds if they are not able to avert such carnage. It is about time we need to have open discussion about the benefits of training such a huge army which isn't able to control a zealot mob that committed such a gruesome genocide. This cycle has to stop once and for all and the perpetrators should face justice. The federal government is forced now to pick a few individuals here and there because the threat this time is insurrectionist that wouldn't stop at killing Amharas and Guraghes. It is the power at 4 killo that they are after which somehow jolted the administration to act and protect itself. Otherwise the stain carried out by the mob from last October is still fresh in our collective minds.
