Thanks to the coming to power of its charismatic leader, Somali Region has now become relatively peaceful and fast developing. The Region was known for its restiveness and wide liberation struggle while it was under Tplf occupation.
It was widely reported that TPLF regime used the region for its illicite trade and exporting terror.

He is a president tribal extremists should not mess with. Unlike them he loves Ethiopia, and I love him for it. I have followed his politics for a while and I am amazed. Not the slightest hint of sectarianism in his politics. In fact, he is the only regional leader in Ethiopia who demonstrated he has what it takes to lead Ethiopia.

Mustefe accurately predicted that the politics of appeasement would finally backfire and eat the government up.He indeed said that the government should confront trouble makers before things spiral out of hand and become bigger problems.
