Re: President Isaias Afwerki has departed to Egypt for a three-day working visit!

I hope he bridges the gap between Ethiopia and Egypt. Egypt is suffering the corona pandemic worse than anyone else in Africa. Ethiopia is suffering TPLF instigated instability. The two countries don't need another crisis. I hope the Egyptians are not involved in the Murder of Hachalu, because if they are, it will be impossible for Abiy to have anything to do with. He is in a very tight spot. But Ethiopians should realize that they don't need to get in conflict with Egypt, not because Egypt is a military threat, but because the Arabs, who have been humiliated for the past 70 years, will gang up against Ethiopia.

I agree , sesame, nearly all of what you said except the “ Arabs will ... gang up against Ethiopia.” The Arab politics is not the same as it used it to be. Their inclination to understand world politics only from religious angle is not productive in the 22st cento, and they know it. I am not naive; I know they overwhelmingly wish Egypt to prevail in the negotiation. But they could not openly undermine the interest of Ethiopia. If that happens the African Union, Europe and even North America will be compelled to defend the underdog , which might be Ethiopia.
