Walta information center was the property and mouthpiece of Woyane led Ethiopian government since 1991. For nearly twenty-seven years, Walta media center had served the dictatorial regime by distorting the truth of events on the ground.

Throughout the years, Walta had not bothered to uncover the real story behind arresting citizens for their political outlook and criticism to the government, instead, this public media outlet had been making dramas as Acheldama in a false pretext to ruin the image of peaceful government opponents in the eye of the general public.

Woyane had established Walta information center, funded, trained its staff members, nurtured, and ran this institution unethically until it departed from the capital two years ago. So why would one surprise today if this same media center disseminate wrong information against its former bosses?

Walta information center had not erected on a foundation that upheld basic free media principles at the outset, nor had a history of conducting free media business by being fair and sincere to the public it had served. Thus, It is so naive if one expects free and unbiased information from this media service so soon because the man in 4kilo has been replaced.
