Ben Amir, Billen, Bejas were all slaves of the aksumites. Ben amir speak tigre and lost their tribal language due to slavery by Aksum. There is no other relationship of Ben Amirs to Tigray and Aksumites.

Languages develop in courts, churches and empires not in pastoral communities.. Ben Amirs are primitive nomads. We call them Assaorta here in Tigray.

Geez has it's own literature, calendar and music. It is a world language like Greek or Latin of the ancient world. It originated in Yeha, a town around Aksum. It is said Geez is the mother of all semetic languages Arabic, Hebrew, Tigrigna, Amharic etc
