Wellega is part of — in fact a small part of — Oromia. The killings that claimed to have happened recently , if it happened, exclusively occurred in Wellega. But Oromia stretches along many geographical areas of Ethiopia. There are Oromos in Illebabour, Keffa, Bale, Harrar, Arusi and Showa. Wellega is a tiny section of Oromia, The headlined should read killing occurred in Wellega, which is part of Oromia. The headline should reflect fact : that the great majority of Oromos are leading a peaceful life currently.

That is your problem OLF, OFECO, IFLO, Querro members. You didn't do anything but you go to other ethnics and tell them to be Oromo. You burn their houses in the night, bit the elderly and rape women. At this moment no body want to associate with you and you do not represent the Oromo people let alone Ilibabor. The current government has a duty to protect individual rights. If you dis regard the law of the land and terrorize civilians you are an outlaw and the governing body has the write to in force the law and guarantee peace by any means.

If you keep doing that it doesn't matter who is on power you will be dealt accordingly. There is police and army to keep the rule of law and you don't need to carry weapon and roam in the jungle. if yo have grievances put down your arm and negotiate if not it will be fair to get an armed response. When that happened you shouldn't cry.

What are you talking about don't make it like you came up with this idea? This has been done more than 100 years ago. Even before vat started. There are many causes for this problem some are relatively easy and others are more complex.

To mention some, the first one is internal displacement. Peoples are displaced from their birthplace by fanatic Oromo groups like Quero and OLF , TPLF their act amounts to domestic terrorism. The government infiltrated by this group is adamant to take the necessary measure to protect individual rights and the rule of law. In fear of perceived by the international community as nonpeaceful or heavy-handed. By not enforcing the rule of the land the current government can be accused of being accomplices of domestic terrorism. The main function of a government is to enforce the rule of law and punish the criminals according to the country's penal code.

The second one is lack of job creation by the government and the private sector. The government has to do two main tasks first facilitating the peace and rule of law to attract investment. No one in the right mind will come and invest in the Oromo region where innocent people are slaughtered in broad daylight and women are raped with impunity. Second, the government should be transparent in awarding projects, and investing in public sectors this is not the case for example the Meskel square development project was given to an unknown Oromia company with no track record building such kind of project and without and without any bid. This kind of malpractice reduce efficiency and spread corruption and push many peoples out of job. Third, the government should be transparent and consult the public on how much tax it collect from individual regions and how the budget allocation is. Therefore there should be an independent ethics committee or Ombudsman.

Since the government more than 36% of its budget is from projected from foreign aid it will be very difficult to be out of the foreign influence there for it should devise some kind mechanism to be self-sustained. The government should diversify it economy especially the private sectors. Currently, more than 90% of investments are in hospitality and trade just selling and buying no industry, no production. most of all they depend on government projects. Creativity should be the front agenda of the government. At last accountability: every organization or individual should be accountable for its action. the rule of law should be upheld. For instance, we shouldn't have two governments in one country. The TPLF should be apprehended at any coast and the olf and quero too. No armed group should be allowed to roam in the country and to be above the law.

Then the farmers can farm their land in peace and migration to big cities will decrease. The government should give incentives for the farmers to till their lands not force them. Un elected officials like Takele Goma should be restricted from making fundamental changes in the city of Addis Ababa. Until the true elect mayor resumes power. Police and security forces should be held accountable for any of their extra-judicial arrest, bitting, and killing.

Then peoples will be more than happy to pay their due taxes. Otherwise, they shouldn't pay taxes if the government can't protect them and give their money for the fascist TPLF stooges in the name budget. Stop any money that is going to Tigree and the payment should be administered through independent finance committer for Tigree .
