All 39 confirmed cases in Eritrea to-date have recovered fully.

Post by Zmeselo » 15 May 2020, 13:42

Announcement from the Ministry of Health

http://www.shabait.com/news/local-news/ ... -of-health

One patient has recovered fully after standard tests at the National Laboratory and was released from hospital today.

This result means that all 39 confirmed cases in the country to-date have recovered fully.

But as underlined last week, this important milestone should not induce complacency at this point in time.

Indeed, it is vital that every citizen continue to fully adhere to, and diligently implement, the GOE Guidelines in force until the ongoing task of detailed and comprehensive assessment to gauge the spread of the pandemic in the entire country with full certainty is accomplished.

Eritrea closing its border to the hell hole Tigray has helped to keep COVID-19 at bay.

Zmeselo,

For Eritrea to have only 39 cases is believable. Eritrea is very much isolated country. Not much air traffic. Most of all, the people are very compliant. Isolating Asmara which is very easy to do, can do the job. Sudan which had fewer cases than Eritrea only a few days ago, has 1800 cases now, Eritrea is not disclosing how many tests it is conducting. False negatives are big problems in Africa as is the case everywhere. Let us not politicize this. The people's lives depend on it. Let us hope for the best.

Nobody is politicizing this. I don't know where you got that from.

I remember when fake news spread a month or so ago, that a young girl had died of COVID in Eritrea. It was highly politicized in this forum, to the point of accusing the govt of everything under the sun. Where were you then?

Look at this ቆርባዕ ዓጋመ፡ aka Campo, what the hell does he mean by "Politicize"? The government of Eritrea has been reporting on the progress it is making since the time it announced the discovery of a COVID-19 victim to this day when it told the world that all victims have been released from hospital after they recuperated. What is politics about that? Ignorante!

Zmeselo,

Your understanding of the text, is questionable here. I did not accuse of anyone politicizing it. I am just saying we need to be aware of it.

What kind of stupid comment is this, heavy metal identity hunter, who wishes he was anybody but himself
We will need to dissect your psychology to understand the immaturity of the so-called deleyti fithi.

Identity hunter, I'm far from "fara".
I know western pop culture with all its tributaries only too well, just not as impressed by it as you happen to be.
It is tough to be young, modern and African, in a world dominated by west and western culture
But you have no right to lose your self, it is an obligation that you're you.
Good thing though, the world has bursted out of the western cultural clutches
People in different cultures are content being themselves.
By age 25 you should have resolved these issues
And Eritrea is simply one of a kind
So stop preaching this outdated western ideology, it is not modern anymore
