you miss the point! you should know that the government is considering itself legitimate ruler for indefinite time. the election looks forgotten. generally the government doesn't want the election to be carried out.
here i am not to defend Lidetu, but he requested the election to be extended for the sake of enough preparation. even now he is not talking about election but he is speaking of the need of transitional government. do you get the point?

Transitional government in Ethiopia ? It is an absurd idea. A bunch of ethnic parties and those which are not sitting together to form a transitional government is a fantasy of the highest proportion. Ethiopian politicians have no the knowledge, the know how, and the give and take culture which require for the formation of such a government. That is a talking point with no substance at all. Still today, most prominent Ethiopian politicians are guided by the feudal culture which they have been brought up. That culture primarily prescribes my way or the highway. Lidetu is one of those creatures. He and people like him are unable to form a rational civic organization let alone a transitional government.
I agree there should be a timetable when the election will be held. But about the transitional government please do not take us as ignorant.

ሀገራችን ኢትዮጵያ ወደ ተሻለ የዴሞክራሲ ሥርዓት የምትሸጋገረውና መጪው ምርጫ ብሩህ ተስፋ የያዘ የሚሆነው፣ አሳታፊ፣ ሁሉን አቀፍ ሀገራዊ ጉባኤ በማድረግ ብቻ ነው፡፡ ጉባኤው በአንድ በኩል ሀገራችን ያንዣበበባትን የኮረና ወረርሽኝን እንዴት ልታልፍ እንደምትችል ምክክር እንዲደረግ የሚያስችል ሲሆን ፣ በሌላ በኩል ቀጣዩ ምርጫ መቼ ይሁን? በምን ቅርጽ ይካሄድ? እስከ ምርጫው ድረስ ሀገራችንን ማንና እንዴት ይምራት? ለሚሉት አንገብጋቢ ጥያቄዎች ምላሽ የሚገኝበት መድረክም ነው። ይህን ዓይነቱን ጉባኤ ፍሬያማ ለማድረግ በሀገሪቱ የሚንቀሳቀሱ ዋና ዋና የፖለቲካና የሲቪክ ባለድርሻዎች እንዲሳተፉበት ማድረግ የግድ ይላል።

ይሁን እንጂ፣ ገዢው ፓርቲ እንደዚህ ዓይነቱ ሀገራዊ ጉባኤ እንዲደረግ ሁኔታዎችን ከማመቻቸት ይልቅ፣ በሀገራችን ውስጥ ተፅዕኖ ያላቸውን የፖለቲካ ድርጅቶች በማግለል የተወሰኑ የፖለቲካ ድርጀቶችን ብቻ መርጦ ስብሰባ አድርጓል፡፡ በዚህ ሂደት ባልደራስ ለእውነተኛ ዴሞክራሲ ፓርቲን ጨምሮ፣ ሌሎች ለገዢው ፓርቲ ብርቱ ተፎካካሪ የሆኑ የፖለቲካ ድርጅቶች እንዳይሳተፉ አድርጎ፣ ቅንነትና ታማኝነት የጎደለው፣ ጠቃሚ ሃሳቦች በተሟላ መልኩ ያልተንሸራሸሩበት፣ ለሃቀኛ ሽግግር ያልቆረጠ ስብሰባ እንዲሆን አድርጎታል።

በዚህም ሳቢያ በሀገራችን መጻኢ ዕድል ላይ ጥቁር ዳመና እንዲያንዣብብ እየሆነ ነው። ኢትዮጵያን ወደ ሚቀጥለው የተሻለ ደረጃ ከማስፈንጠር አንፃር ማንም ልጅ፣ ማንም የእንጀራ ልጅ ስላልሆነ፣ የማግለል አካሄድ ለሀገራችን ስለማይበጅ በአፋጣኝ ሊቆም ይገባል፡፡

በኢትዮጵያ ህገ-መንግሥት የመንግስት የሥራ ዘመን 5 ዓመት ብቻ እንደሆነና፣ የስልጣን ዘመኑ ከማለቁ ከወራት በፊት ምርጫ መደረግ እንዳለበት የደነገገ ቢሆንም በበሽታ፣ በጦርነት፣ በተፈጥሮ አደጋ ወይም በሌላ እክል ምርጫውን ማካሄድ ሳይቻል ቢቀር ምን መደረግ እንዳለበት ምንም መፍትሄ አላስቀመጠም። ይህም አሁን ባለው የኮሮና ወረርሽኝ ሳቢያ ምርጫን በተመለከተ ትልቅ ሀገራዊ ተግዳሮት ፈጥሯል።

ባልደራስ ለእውነተኛ ዴሞክራሲ በሚያዝያ 24 እና 25 ቀን 2012 ዓ·ም ባደረገው አስቸኳይ የሥራ አስፈፃሚ ኮሚቴ ስብሰባ፣ የምርጫውን መራዘም አስመልክቶ ገዢው ፓርቲ አግላይ በሆነው ስብሰባ ያቀረባቸውን 4 አማራጮች በጥልቀት ከህግና ከፖለቲካ አግባብነት አንፃር እያየ መርምሯል።

ኮሚቴው በገዢው ፓርቲ የቀረቡት አማራጮች ሀገሪቷን ከተጋረጡባት ተግዳሮቶች የማይታደጓት ብቻ ሳይሆኑ፣ በከፊል ህጋዊ መሠረትም የሌላቸው መሆኑንም ተገንዝቧል።

ስለሆነም፣ አማራጭ ሀገራዊ መፍትሄ ለማስቀመጥ ውይይትና ክርክር ከማድረጉ በፊት አራት መስፈርቶች እንደ ቅድመ ሁኔታ አስቀምጧል፡፡

እነዚህም፡-
1. የኢትዮጵያን ሀገራዊ አንድነት፣ ሠላምና ደህንነት የሚያስቀጥል መሆን እንዳለበት፣

2. መፍትሔው ሀገራዊ ተግዳሮቱን እንደ ክፍተት በመጠቀም የማንንም የስልጣን ጥም እውን ለማድረግና ለማስፈፀም መዋል እንደሌለበት፣

3. ለዴሞክራሲያዊ ሽግግርና ስርዓት ግንባታ እንቅፋት መሆን እንደሌለበት፣

4. የባልደራስን ጨምሮ ከማንኛቸውንም የፖለቲካ ድርጅት ፍላጎትና አመለካከት የፀዳ መሆን እንዳለበት፣

5. ለመሰል ሀገራዊ ተግዳሮት ዓለም አቀፍ ተሞክሮ ግምት ውስጥ መግባት እንዳለበት የሚሉት ናቸው፡፡

እነዚህን መስፈርቶች መመዘኛ አድርጎም፣ በገዢው ፓርቲ በኩል የቀረቡት «አማራጮች»ም ሆኑ በተቃራኒው ኢትዮጵያን ማፍረስ የሚሹ ኃይሎች የተሰባሰቡበት ያቀረቡት «የሽግግር መንግሥት እንመስርት» ጥያቄ ለሀገሪቱ እንደማይበጁ ጥርት አድርጎ ማየት ችሏል፡፡

በአንጻሩ በአውሮፓ፣ በእስያ፣ በላቲን አሜሪካና በአፍሪካ ያሉትን መሰል ተሞክሮዎች ግምት ውስጥ ሲገቡ፣ ከመስከረም 30 2013 በኋላ ለኢትዮጵያ የሚበጃት «የባለሙያዎች የባለአደራ መንግሥት» ወይም በእንግሊዘኛ አጠራሩ "Caretaker Government of Technocrats" ነው ብሎ በፅኑ አምኗል።

ይህ የባለሙያዎች የባለአደራ መንግሥት ከየዘርፉ በሚመለመሉ ምሁራንና ባለሙያዎች የሚቋቋም ሲሆን፣ አዋጪነቱም ተፈትኖ የታየ ብቻ ሳይሆን፣ ገዢው ፓርቲም ይሁን ተቃዋሚ ፓርቲዋች ሀገራዊ ተግዳሮቱን በመጠቀም ለስልጣን ሽሚያ እንዳይጋበዙና ሀገር እንዳትጎዳ ዋስትና ይሰጣል።

የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግስት፡-
1ኛ. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግሥት በህይወት ዘመናቸው የፖለቲካ ድርጅት አባላት ባልነበሩ ምሁራንና ባለሙያዎች የሚቋቋም ይሆናል፣

2ኛ. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግሥት አባላትና ሹመኞች በቀጣይ በሚደረገው ምርጫ ውስጥ ምንም ዓይነት ተሳትፎ እንዳይኖራቸው ገደብ የሚጣልባቸው ይሆናል፣

3ኛ. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግሥት አባላትና ሹመኞች ከምርጫ በኃላ በሚቋቋመው መንግሥት የፖለቲካ ሹመት እንዳይሰጣቸው የአንድ የምርጫ ዘመን ገደብ የሚጣልባቸው ይሆናል፣

4ኛ. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግሥት አባላት በፖለቲካ፣ በሲቪክ ባለድርሻ አካላት ተሳትፎና በዓለም አቀፉ ማህበረሰብ ታዛቢነት የሚመረጡ ይሆናል፣

5ኛ. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግስት አባላት ከሀገር ውስጥና ከሀገር ውጭ ካሉ ኢትዮጵያውያን ምሁራን መካከል ይመረጣሉ፣

የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግሥት ኃላፊነት

1. የሀገር ሉዓላዊነትን መጠበቅ፣

2. የሀገር ጸጥታን ለማስጠበቅ ህግና ስርዓትን ማስከበር፣

3. ለነጻ ምርጫ የሚያስፈልጉ ነጻ የመንግስት ተቋማትን መገንባት፣

4. የመንግሥትን የዕለት ተዕለት ሥራ መምራት፣

5. ከምርጫው በፊት፣ ለሀገራዊ እርቅና መግባባት ሁሉም የፖለቲካ ድርጅቶች የሰላም ቃል ኪዳን እንዲያደርጉ ሁኔታዎችን ማመቻቸት፣

6. ኢትዮጵያዊያን ሀገራዊ ቃል ኪዳን (citizens covenant) እንዲገቡ ሁኔታዎችን ማመቻቸት፣

7. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግስት የሥራ ዘመን ከሁለት ዓመት ያልበለጠ ይሆናል፡፡

Supporting PM Abiy's government until set date election will benefit everyone, including the opposition parties.
The four choices presented by government is just to force the opposition to support the government with no option of presenting their own solution/proposition. It is like take it or leave it. Political solution is the only way forward.
All the government should do is reassure the opposition and the Ethiopian people that the election will be held on a mutually agreed time table in exchange for support for the continuation of the current government as a take care government with full required authority. This requires genuine effort from all parties as there is no time for argy-bargy.

እነዚህም፡-

2. መፍትሔው ሀገራዊ ተግዳሮቱን እንደ ክፍተት በመጠቀም የማንንም የስልጣን ጥም እውን ለማድረግና ለማስፈፀም መዋል እንደሌለበት፣

3. ለዴሞክራሲያዊ ሽግግርና ስርዓት ግንባታ እንቅፋት መሆን እንደሌለበት፣

4. የባልደራስን ጨምሮ ከማንኛቸውንም የፖለቲካ ድርጅት ፍላጎትና አመለካከት የፀዳ መሆን እንዳለበት፣

5. ለመሰል ሀገራዊ ተግዳሮት ዓለም አቀፍ ተሞክሮ ግምት ውስጥ መግባት እንዳለበት የሚሉት ናቸው፡፡

እነዚህን መስፈርቶች መመዘኛ አድርጎም፣ በገዢው ፓርቲ በኩል የቀረቡት «አማራጮች»ም ሆኑ በተቃራኒው ኢትዮጵያን ማፍረስ የሚሹ ኃይሎች የተሰባሰቡበት ያቀረቡት «የሽግግር መንግሥት እንመስርት» ጥያቄ ለሀገሪቱ እንደማይበጁ ጥርት አድርጎ ማየት ችሏል፡፡

በአንጻሩ በአውሮፓ፣ በእስያ፣ በላቲን አሜሪካና በአፍሪካ ያሉትን መሰል ተሞክሮዎች ግምት ውስጥ ሲገቡ፣ ከመስከረም 30 2013 በኋላ ለኢትዮጵያ የሚበጃት «የባለሙያዎች የባለአደራ መንግሥት» ወይም በእንግሊዘኛ አጠራሩ "Caretaker Government of Technocrats" ነው ብሎ በፅኑ አምኗል።

ይህ የባለሙያዎች የባለአደራ መንግሥት ከየዘርፉ በሚመለመሉ ምሁራንና ባለሙያዎች የሚቋቋም ሲሆን፣ አዋጪነቱም ተፈትኖ የታየ ብቻ ሳይሆን፣ ገዢው ፓርቲም ይሁን ተቃዋሚ ፓርቲዋች ሀገራዊ ተግዳሮቱን በመጠቀም ለስልጣን ሽሚያ እንዳይጋበዙና ሀገር እንዳትጎዳ ዋስትና ይሰጣል።

የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግስት፡-
1ኛ. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግሥት በህይወት ዘመናቸው የፖለቲካ ድርጅት አባላት ባልነበሩ ምሁራንና ባለሙያዎች የሚቋቋም ይሆናል፣

2ኛ. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግሥት አባላትና ሹመኞች በቀጣይ በሚደረገው ምርጫ ውስጥ ምንም ዓይነት ተሳትፎ እንዳይኖራቸው ገደብ የሚጣልባቸው ይሆናል፣

3ኛ. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግሥት አባላትና ሹመኞች ከምርጫ በኃላ በሚቋቋመው መንግሥት የፖለቲካ ሹመት እንዳይሰጣቸው የአንድ የምርጫ ዘመን ገደብ የሚጣልባቸው ይሆናል፣

4ኛ. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግሥት አባላት በፖለቲካ፣ በሲቪክ ባለድርሻ አካላት ተሳትፎና በዓለም አቀፉ ማህበረሰብ ታዛቢነት የሚመረጡ ይሆናል፣

5ኛ. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግስት አባላት ከሀገር ውስጥና ከሀገር ውጭ ካሉ ኢትዮጵያውያን ምሁራን መካከል ይመረጣሉ፣

የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግሥት ኃላፊነት

1. የሀገር ሉዓላዊነትን መጠበቅ፣

2. የሀገር ጸጥታን ለማስጠበቅ ህግና ስርዓትን ማስከበር፣

3. ለነጻ ምርጫ የሚያስፈልጉ ነጻ የመንግስት ተቋማትን መገንባት፣

4. የመንግሥትን የዕለት ተዕለት ሥራ መምራት፣

5. ከምርጫው በፊት፣ ለሀገራዊ እርቅና መግባባት ሁሉም የፖለቲካ ድርጅቶች የሰላም ቃል ኪዳን እንዲያደርጉ ሁኔታዎችን ማመቻቸት፣

6. ኢትዮጵያዊያን ሀገራዊ ቃል ኪዳን (citizens covenant) እንዲገቡ ሁኔታዎችን ማመቻቸት፣

7. የባለሙያዎቹ የባለአደራ መንግስት የሥራ ዘመን ከሁለት ዓመት ያልበለጠ ይሆናል፡፡

Supporting PM Abiy's government until set date election will benefit everyone, including the opposition parties.
The four choices presented by government is just to force the opposition to support the government with no option of presenting their own solution/proposition. It is like take it or leave it. Political solution is the only way forward.
All the government should do is reassure the opposition and the Ethiopian people that the election will be held on a mutually agreed time table in exchange for support for the continuation of the current government as a take care government with full required authority. This requires genuine effort from all parties as there is no time for argy-bargy.

Transitional government in Ethiopia ? It is an absurd idea. A bunch of ethnic parties and those which are not sitting together to form a transitional government is a fantasy of the highest proportion. Ethiopian politicians have no the knowledge, the know how, and the give and take culture which require for the formation of such a government. That is a talking point with no substance at all. Still today, most prominent Ethiopian politicians are guided by the feudal culture which they have been brought up. That culture primarily prescribes my way or the highway. Lidetu is one of those creatures. He and people like him are unable to form a rational civic organization let alone a transitional government.
I agree there should be a timetable when the election will be held. But about the transitional government please do not take us as ignorant.
