Here are a few facts about the people of Tigray. If you pay attention Tigrians want to claim they are Ertrian and they embarrassed being from Mekelle. Being beggars throughout Ethiopia exposed them for this psychological inferiority, therefore they hate the self sufficient Gurage.

I used to live Eritrea many years ago. When an Eritrean want someone wants maid or daily laborer they go out to the main road and shouting Agame, Agame. And also you find many laborers sitting at the stairs of the Asmera Municipality to be picked up for daily work. I know it’s painful to be reminded who you are and being beggars throughout Ethiopia. Oh one more thing, begging is your badge of honor.

By the way I don’t insult Tigreans. I stated facts. By the way in the 1930, and forty’s in Addis if you want Coolie, you shout Gurage, Gurage. And further, in Wollegga, you shout Gojje, Gojje to mention Gojjame. Please understand stating facts and insulting the entire ethnicity. It may be cruel, but it’s our history.

Good to hear that you have no intent of insulting people. But, I still will refrain from using demeaning words towards certain people.
My feeling is that when we insult/demean one part of our country, we are insulting the whole of the country.
