What should Eritreans do to Isaias Aforqi

Eritreans should make him president for life, and protect his legacy for centuries to come, and let me explain why.

The history of Eritrea of the past 60 years is closely intertwined with that of Isaias. Those who want to revise Eritrea's history will thus attack Isaias. You cannot destabilise Eritrea without attacking Isaias. You cannot destroy Eritrea's history without destroying Isaias' legacy. The two go hand-in-hand together. Eritreans understand this instinctively.

And equally important as protecting Isaias' legacy, Eritreans should also protect the despicable legacy of the sell-outs against any kind of revision by carefully document for posterity the dates and types of their treasonous behaviour. Eritreans should not allow anybody to revise the history of the despicable opposition.

This is not to promote the person of Isaias, it is to protect Eritrea's history and safeguard its sovereignty for centuries to come.

Dear YAY, cooperation with whom?

Meskerem whom you approvingly quote here has been on a campaign of vilification, has done all he could to undermine Eritrea's position
When the Eri govt said the border issue could wait for a few months while Abiy stabilises his position, Meskerem put a timer showing on its front-page that showed how many days it had gone after the peace treaty without the border being demarcated.

When Isaias mentioned the border issue in his interview, highlighting how the woyane were undermining I and that something needs to be done, Meskerem took down the timer and accused Isaias of warmongering.

When people have such fundamental differences, cooperation is not a good strategy, simply put Eritrea's position and Meskerem's stand are not compatible. You cannot harmonise such fundamentally different positions.

Justo,

You sound like the supporters of Idi Amin, Qaddafi, Sadam Hussein and their likes in the past. Don't you think Eritreans deserve alternatives and a say in their government ?   Sorry to say but, you are destined in the history bin of Eritrea. You don't care about the people of Eritrea's interest, do you ? No individual is good for that. The likes of Washington gave power to the people the first four years to preserve democracy. Hence, America. Washington loved his people first and foremost to give up power and give a chance to democracy. That is the man of history . Good history.

Aurorae,
I understand your concerns, you have aired them many times before. And they are valid, to a certain extent. The problem, the way I see, it is bigger than that. The supporters of the government and deleyti fithi have fundamentally diverging understanding of the current problem and vision of the future. You consider the west to be the model, I am not impressed by their achievements, but am extremely impressed by the structure of our society. You look at the issue politically, I look at it anthropologically, and that is why I say I feel more free in Eritrea than in Washington DC.

We have had this discussion before, me and you, our differences are fundamental but not unbridgeable. But Eritrea's difference with the sell-outs, with the deleyti fithi who collaborated with the woyane, are not bridgeable.

My advise to Eritreans is to put pressure on their President to release our Weyane democratic leaders whom he had placed under house arrest at Aksum Hotel indefinitely. Do you know that my Weyane leaders no longer hate the color of your Eritrean eyes? That's why they hired so many Weyane cadres to teach you about democracy and human rights here on Mereja Forum. You should be very grateful for that!

DW, you seem to be a sensible agame, so I will make you an offer you cannot refuse.

If you promise to reserve a wing of the Axum hotel for deleyti fithi, we will stop looking down upon you, at least on the christian and muslim holidays we will treat you as our equals. It will be a win win win solution, deleyti fithi love to be near their woyane masters so they will appreciate accommodation at Axum hotel, you want to occasionally feel equal to us, so on the 32 days of the calendar that make up christian and muslem holidays you will have the opportunity to do just that, and we will be spared from the venom of the deleyti fithi, so in one stroke all three of us win, deal?
