as far as i can remember the story goes like this When Aswan High Dam built Egypt switched to Russia .. so the American were so mad they want to revenge Egypt by building dam in Ethiopia that is why they did study .. not because they love us.. the point is yes they did study for that we should say thanks ..

The second point is does the America study still usable the answer is yes..

Should Ethiopia had built 4 smaller Dam instead of one big one

the answer is no! yes, in peace time that would have been ideal .. but we were in war time.. our "enemy" was busy we would not have got the opening to build the Nile dam if we did not took that opportunity and start the dam... that was the best meles sneak attack... when your enemy was the least expected u make your move .. that is why meles build big one instead of four smaller one

can we build those 3 smaller dam after the fact we build the last one.. as expert eng. my answer is yes. who is going to stop us building those 3 dam when we have time and when we have understanding with Egypt we can build it.. and have no water volume problem too on the GERD (border dam).. when THOSE 3 dam released their water the GERD will get all their water so no effect.. but instead of generating 6000 mw we would have generated 11,000 mw

sometime i feel Egypt is a house n@gor who try to keep the black Africa in poverty.. just imagine when they building 60 billion brand new city and other 33 project on Nile river no Ethiopians care or say anything why this people making big noise when Ethiopia try to come out of poverty..

let us ask any fair and balanced person .. if Ethiopia produce 85% of the water .. u dont feel bad when 10 million people Ethiopian died because of drought while Nile river flow under their feet..... how in God name that Egypt wasting water like there is no tomorrow. while Ethiopian dying water thirst .. i just want to ask how in hell Egypt eat while we die asking half a bread ... how in hell they have gut to tell us we should not touch one cup of water when they know all the water belong to us...

forget all this how they justified opposing project that is in Ethiopia ... had they say build it but don't harm us..then they would have a point .. but they were hard at work prevented us getting world bank loan.. i think, even the white man doesn't want us progress so they pointing their finger to Egypt to do their dirty job .... preventing us building our one way ticket out of poverty...

i think this old timers እንጂነር በርታ and his budy ... also should not opposed the Nile dam even if they think it is wrong one .. otherwise Egypt will use their idea to opposed us.. when Dr. Abiy and Amhara accusing the METEC substandard work due to corruption now the Egypt asking the dam should be investigated for being sound project they asking to see if the dam hold the water and all the technician question come after we insulted our own dam .....ባለቤቱ ያቀለለውን አሞሌ ማንም አይገዛወም

we have to be smart about it.. even we opposed the dam we should support it all the way that is what the Egypt so called educated people doing they support the Egypt stand blindly

One so called Egyptian Eng. said if Ethiopia fill the dam fast 2 million Egypt will be affect .. do u see what i am talking the Egyptian Eng. only worried about how many Egyptian affected but they dont care how many affected in Ethiopia .. if ten million died or more they dont care all they care is how many Egyptian affected.. all of their study is worried about Ethiopian being affected...


Even let take this Eng . study at face value and let say if Ethiopia reduce the water by 2% .... 2 million people affected guess which people we r talking .. okay, let say 2 million Egyptian affect.... so what? if Black Nile river produce 50.5 billion cubic metres.... out of this they should get their share but it is not justice to claim all the water for Egypt and left zero water for Ethiopia .. how this is fair..had Ethiopia took 25 billion cubic metres water and try to increase it by 2% then Egypt have a point now what Ethiopia try to do is increase her share from zero % to 2% and this so called Egypt Eng. telling us Egypt farmers will be affected .. why not try modernizing your farming and use drip irrigation and try to save 10% and give that saving to Ethiopians instead of crying over in Ethiopians share ..

when i wrote the above entry i only watched up to part two.. now i watch part 3 and part 4...

ኢንጅነር ፀጋ and እንጂነር በርታ finally win me over .... even so few i might not agree with them but the solution they bringing was like no other ... even the host could not understand what እንጂነር በርታ saying bring water from the Congo ... Congo will get billion of dollar from the water that goes to sea.. Egypt will get unlimited water and Ethiopia will have Nile for herself... even so this is long term project but the solution would be undeniable.... Congo also should be helped to generate 40,000 mw power ... if this two project successful and Ethiopian Nile used to agriculture we would be world supper market for food...

second ኢንጅነር ፀጋ and እንጂነር በርታ in short term .. Egypt should be told to use her ground water and modernized her agriculture and also start seawater desalination instead of buying war machinery had Egypt invited in this project they would be much better off...

3rd in the immediate term Ethiopia should offer Egypt land for agriculture inside Ethiopia .. they should use modern technology and must be mega farm and must hire Ethiopian ..and export the food back to Egypt and same sold locally Egypt r good in farming many tropical farming such as ቴምር ..as of now Ethiopia import ቴምር 555 million dollar worth every years this could be one billion in near future all this could be replaced by Egyptian ቴምር farm had Ethiopia allowed them to farm in Ethiopia ..this is very important because they took the water inside Ethiopia or outside Ethiopia it is all the same..but if they farm in Ethiopia they will create million of job for Ethiopians...

so dont think u have the right .. and go against USA.. THEY will fk u up.. instead Ethiopia should have strategy to say no without saying no...

NOW Ethiopian theoretically can say Go to hell USA.. BUT our food come from USA, they can ban our tax free export to America called AGOA and we could not export to USA THIS mean no industrialization zone .. this means we dont need hydro no more if we cant use it...so we must be careful when we say no to USA.. SAYING NO WITHOUT SAYING NO...

for example when they tell us dont fill the water until we have agreement ..

Ethiopia should come up with answer that is smarter then saying No! okay we will not fill the water as long as Egypt stopped her 60 billion brand new city project all the water coming from Nile river hence ... it is not fair for Egypt to take water while negation is under going .. otherwise what is her intensive to come to agreement if we stopped filling the water .. they will talk in circle for next 100 years if this prevent us from filling the dam.. so we must tell the American telling Ethiopia dont fill the water will not encourage the Egypt to come to an agreement ..

and telling everyone who listen our case... how is fair for Ethiopia to get 0% share and Egypt and Sudan got 100% share.. how this is fair this must be told for everyone who listen.. for this we need good English speaker..

the Egyptian always saying 2 million farmers are affected how about Ethiopian .. we should tell the whole world each and every Egyptian study only deal how many Egyptian affected they never cared about how many Ethiopian affected by not damming the Nile ..

just imagine had Egypt in our shoe what would have done... my beef is not with Egypt why not one Ethiopian youtube goes to Egypt and ask this question .. how much share they think Ethiopia should get? how much is fair ..we should ask order Egyptian if this fail why not find same Egyptian in usa and ask them where is ESAT when u need them

yes, the Egyptian might say Ethiopian have rain. okay that rain only come 3 month per year that means 9 month we face drought if we cant collect this rain and utilize it the rest of the years.. having rain is not the answer.. rain might come or not.. how would the farmers should depend on rain in 20 century... if rain did not come all his years work will be destroyed but if the farmers have water he use that water to pass the drought and saved the day not only that the farmer can cultivate 3 time a years instead of one time .... we r talking about 100 dollar per year income farmers so poor all they r asking is little break not much .. they don't have running water while 55 billion cubic water run under their feet. they don't have electricity .. how can u tell this people they have no half a cup of water because Egypt wasting it away...by old outdated farming method ... how we going to tell this poor farmers they should be happy with their half a cap otherwise Egypt wills send their army and kill him.. how this is just...

for 1000 years Ethiopian will never forget what Egypt did to us..try to prevent us coming out of poverty.. what they benefit i don't understand they have to tell their people sorry we dont own the water anymore.. we used it for 1000 years now it is enough we have to share it with the water owner how hard is this to make Egyptian people to make them understand the water they drinking was not their's....

even Egypt Pharaoh refused the God word .. and destroyed by it... if modern Pharaoh refused and start war with Ethiopia ... unexpected thing can happened if Ethiopia win Egypt will be returned to original owner of Egypt the Black Nubian... trust me Egypt cant fight Ethiopia because we live 3000 meter high above sea level.. how in hell the Egypt war machinery climb 3km altitude ... the Egyptian army never seen mountain how they going to climb it... even all the thing they manged how in hell they conducted war we r not sharing border so the supply going to fly over .. or are they going to set up military base in Eritrea or in Sudan how in hell they going to protect that and supply it ... let alone Egypt even American almost bankrupted with war .. thanks to Obama saved their economy otherwise America was done by two war.. so how in hell Egypt can afford far away war with their economy...

if u start war with Ethiopia then it would be go head to all 9 countries to start building their own dam on Nile river .. all deal will be void so this fact must be told to the Egyptian repeatedly...

about American if we managed to delay until next election we will be save so hold on .. even without agreeing dont start filling the water .. dont give a reason for Trump to bomb the Nile dam just wait one more years until democrat elected ..

We are not governed by colonized rule (1929 Anglo-Egyptian, Veto power of Egypt) any more. It is time to construct the dam by Ethiopians for mutual benefits !

Wagaye Fentahun, if Egypt insisted on 1929 treaty then they should go back to British colony because Egypt was under the British in 1929... the treaty was between British and colony of Egypt ... the British wanted to cultivate cotton that is why they signed this treaty which doesn't involved Ethiopia anyhow Ethiopia willing to respect this agreement if Egypt willing to return to British colony..

bedside Egypt also break another treaty to nationalized Suez channel so Egypt cant have it both way.. if they want they have to return Suez channel to British the legal owner of the Channel.. not only that when Egypt make agreement with Sudan they void 1929 agreement . if they can do agreement with Sudan if the 1929 treaty did not prevented them then they can do another agreement without 1929 preventing them
