Some quotes, from what PIA said today.

Improving earning capacity & thereby overall quality of livelihood of citizens can only be predicated, on improving national productivity and wealth creation.
Without giving unrealistic promises, national pay- scale needs deeper understanding, inorder to have sustainable & stable quality of life.
We are in a better position after the years of external obstacles, though some obstacles are still lurking. We are in a position, to enhance our economic development.
For sustainable economic growth, primarily; conducive grounds & infrastructures must be built.
To invest in Eritrea, it is not how much you have but how much you produce and contribute towards the economy.
Some nations around us touted the conflict between Eritrea & Ethiopia, and used the economic declines of the two nations for their own economic advantage. While we were warring, they were developing their sea ports.
The provision of quality & affordable housing is a key development area and we need to tackle the factors, that have been impeding the GOE's ability to deal with this issue effectively.

Meanwhile in Asmara, road renovation continues.

Kudos to those foregoing their weekend breaks, as we commemorate Operation Fenkl; EPLF military operation that heralded the liberation of Massawa in 1990; leading to 🇪🇷 independence in 1991.

Nothing on his speech that indicates he would change the current course. Just talk, no action. It makes us even more depressing to hear his latest interview. I have not seen any positive he said he would do; nothing. Holding thousands of citizens in a prison without due process is the most that bothers me; because I have visited a couple of them and recently and those in jail are for the most part, Tegadelti from a poor family who have no one with deep pocket to fight for their freedom, a freedom that they fought for us to get it. No one proves their crimes; some were sent to prison for years because they had accidentally fight with a wrong person who happened to be a security agent; they committed no crimes against their government, people or country; just a civil fight with people who could make you disappear without a trace. Most of us were hoping at least PIA would mention the injustice of “Axinehaley”; but then, it is not for his benefit. The second important “asekafi” was things to all of us, he never wants to name #2; such as vise President or Prime Minister. He is in his mid 70’s; and anything happened to him tomorrow; a country with no constitution and official next in line; it would be a civil war among the Generals.

Yemane Minister of Idiot, how pathetic that what a small town in any other African country can do:
1. Presenting the asphalting of part of street is not something to brag about

Just incase you and your pfdj clowns try to say that Asmara is better than other African cities...well here is Luanda, Angola
Forget just asphalting the streets...in Luanda, Angola a country run much better than the One-Man SchitShow Regime of Isayas Afwrki.

False accusations like this should be taken with a grain of salt, Isaias Afwerki has a reputation for being a political troublemaker.

What do you mean?

Djibouti is not Tgray, but the djiboutian leader decided to cooperate with the mafia regime of the weyane & concocted a similar non-existent border problem with us. Lobbied the UN & others, to sanction us. And definitely took advantage of the conflict & got paid billions yearly, for the weyane to use its port.

Schitmeselo,

You are such a liar. Isayas Afwrki has brought all of these conflicts onto Eritreans. Even Badme war was started by Isayas Afwrki backroom deal with Meles Chenawi! You won't accept this fact since your mouth is filled with isayas Afwrki's shilhojuice!

The Hanish Island Conflict which was Started by Isayas Afwrki ordering an attack Yemeni soldiers on 1995,
https://www.globalsecurity.org/military ... hanish.htm

Early in 1995, a Yemen-German company was granted a license to operate a scuba diving school on Greater Hanish Island, and Yemeni troops were sent to guard the company's equipment. Eritrea protested Yemen's move.

In December 1995, Yemen fought a brief battle with Eritrea over Greater Hanish Island, located just north of the Bab al-Mandab. At dawn on December 16, a clash between the forces erupted and within two days Yemeni forces were defeated. The crisis erupted into an air and sea battle in which 12 Eritrean and 15 Yemeni soldiers were killed. Eritrean forces captured an estimated 185 Yemeni soldiers, but released them after two weeks.

Hanish Island ConflictOn 15 February 1996 Yemen accepts a France-brokered proposal to end the conflict between Yemen and Eritrea over Greater Hanish Island in the Red Sea. Press reports state that the French proposal would allow both countries to station troops on the disputed island. On 03 May 1996, following French diplomatic initiatives, Yemen and Eritrea agreed to form an arbitration panel to solve their territorial dispute over the three islands.

On 24 August 1996 the UN Security Council ordered Eritrea to leave Lesser Hanish Island. Yemeni officials said Eritrea had used Falashas to occupy Lesser Hanish Island.

According to Eritrea, at the time of the military confrontation in late 1995, which resulted in an Eritrean military occupation of Greater Hanish and some of the small surrounding islands and the Republic of Yemen's military occupation of Zuqar Island, Eritrea wished to seek a determination of all respective Eritrean and Yemeni claims, either by international arbitration or adjudication. Yemen would not agree to such a submission, insisting instead, as Eritrea relates it, on limiting the scope of the dispute to Eritrea's alleged illegal occupation of Hanish Island. Because neither Party wanted this disagreement on scope to prevent the conclusion of the Agreement on Principles and subsequent Arbitration Agreement, they agreed to leave the determination of scope to the Tribunal.

After three years, in 1998 the Permanent Court of Arbitration ruled that the Hanish Island belonged to Yemen. The Yemeni flag was raised over Hanish Island as Yemeni army and navy troops moved onto the Island.

The new 2018 government-mandated minimum wage is now: Nakfa 1,800 (without any qualifications). That means, no worker in Eritrea can be paid less then this mandatory minimum rate.

President Isaias in his interview made it clear, that everyone in the civil service as well as the defence forces should get paid according to this 2018 restructured salary scale; such that those who are still getting paid 500 or 800 Nakfa, etc ... instead of the minimum wage or higher, shall get their salaries adjusted and will be fully compensated with their accumulated arrears dating back from 2018. This compensation process shall be completed, by years end.

He also made a commitment that by 2021 fiscal year, everyone should start getting paid according to this new salary scale and there should be NO ONE left behind, who hasn't been fully compensated with the arrears.

Period!!!

You are repeating Isaias Afwerki false accusations that lack any merit, he's emotionally attached to Ethiopia but still angry by Ethiopia refusal to use the Eritrean ports, Djibouti had nothing to do with the long standing animosity and conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
