what we need is a new deal . the new deal is golden Meles divided us in the regional state.. the end of story.. fix some of the problem and respect regional power and autonomy and dont get involved in other regional problem or issue let them run their own region as they see it fit.. for example if they say we dont want to lean Amhric let them not learn Amharic just mind your business and develop Gonder and Gojjam leave the rest of the state for them to run .. then only we will have peace and progress once we become rich then we will have time to read the past history..

You can’t learn the history of Africa or the world without learning the history of your immediate neighbors and your own country. Many American students don’t like American history classes because it is repetitive and boring but they can’t opt out. If a students wants to get an Ethiopian degree, he/she should take Ethiopian history. That doesn’t mean the old curriculum should be reinstated which to me is flawed. His Majesty was concerned mainly about the glories of the kings; Mengistu was leaning toward socialism and communism, the Irgum frog eliminated the bond “Ethiopia” from the mix. So, the curriculum of Ethiopian history should be rewritten to include all parts of our past history without politicizing, sugarcoating or poisoning it and that will bring us together. KIFU!
