The Orthodox Church in Ethiopia is amhara, not Ethiopian

99.9% of the population in Tigray speaks Tigrigna. And yet the Archibishop in Mekelle addressed the Epiphany congregation in Amharic.
This means no one understood what the archibishop was trying to say as he spoke in a language the local population did not speak properly. The same could be said about Epiphany celebrations in Maichew, South Tigray. The epiphany celebration in Addis Ababa should have been addressed in Amharic and Oromo to show solidarity with the Oromo community. There were few Oromos seen.
The Amhara are abusing The Orthodox Church by using Amharic in areas where no one understands. This is a joke and a crime. We need to force the Orthodox Church to use Tigrigna ( a beautiful language) in Tigray and Oromo language in Oromo areas or Agew in Agew area etc
