Let the Dog’s Bark!!!!

Post by Kuasmeda » 19 Jan 2020, 16:04

Eritrea, the stage we are in today is the best place we can be-in considering our history. This is a period that represents incredible opportunities not only for us but the region, Africa and Ethiopia.

Today, we have opportunity to chart a new path for Eritrea from wherever we are; we have opportunity to play roles that can make real difference in the lives of Eritreans; and opportunity to establish a foundation that generations can be proud. We have opportunities to reestablish our communities abroad & angle it to benefit Eritrea. We can play roles in developing a bright future by acting as lobbyist.

However, that can only happen if we are laser focused.
Many may not have been paying attention, but Eritrea was positioning herself & have done fantastic considering the sanctions and hostilities we faced.

While under duress of sanctions and regime change pressures, Eritrea positioned herself to take advantage of these new opportunities stealthily. For example, unhindered by the sanctions, Eritreans went to work and paved major highways and roadways essential for linking Eritrea with countries in the region. These are major achievements that most African countries are getting into heavy debts to achieve. With indigenous power and brains, armed with the principles of self-reliance Eritrea managed to achieve these impossible developments that have positioned us into the opportunities starting at us as we speak.

We lost 20 years, countless life and opportunities. Just looking at the latest soccer, basketball and volleyball competitions that Eritrea engaged in the last few months serves as a reminder to how isolated Eritrea had been.

And all the hardships we faced, even-though Washington driven, was carried-out by Tigray people’s liberation front, Weyane.

Today, TPLF is not a political issue it is security issue. The TPLF, even if it is defeated & chased out of Addis; is operating from its terrorist hiding central Mekele Tigray intent on creating chaos. It is still pursuing its agenda to destabilize so it can reestablish itself and the nonsensical greater Tigray agenda at the expense of Eritrea and Ethiopia.

If you have been following Tigray Media, all they talk about is how to undermine Eritrea and Ethiopia and how to create unrest amongst ethnic groups and religions. Sibhat Nega has openly said unless Isais is gone no peace with Eritrea.
Over the years, they have learned how to get attention of the people of Eritrea. They have learned how to distract Eritreans. They also have learned how to deflect issues away from their problems, problems the people of Tigray face using diversionary tactics.

They pay & use every opportunity as well as tools for propaganda to distract, confuse, and to push their agendas. They have gotten really good at throwing red herrings.

As you remember last month, they conducted emergency meeting. While they conducted the meeting, there were countless attacks against Eritrea and Eritreans on many fronts.

The Asheger interview that denigrated Eritrea. And using that interview as basis, TPLF agents were trying to spin it to say that this is what Ethiopians want to do to Eritreans. This, of course, was to create wedge between Eritreans and Ethiopians.

At the same time, they were accusing Eritreans who support the peace with Ethiopia as pro abysinia and unionist. This was also designed to create a wedge amongst Eritreans.

My problem is that we keep falling for TPLF’s stunts. Our reaction and the time and energy we spent on it was massive especially compared to other important issues that face our communities.

Weyane TPLF took 27 years of opportunity from us. I am sure, what they have scared away many investors who wanted to come to our region but moved to other parts of Africa because of the uncertainties they created and because they were discouraging investors from investing

If they keep distracting us, they will take many more years. Is that what we want? It is good to challenge attacks against Eritrea but let’s do it smart. Because we reacted, Asheger and many like him are coming out and making more outlandish statements.

I think we need to take a page from our government and apply Let the Dog’s Bark principle and focus on our lives. The world is changing in ways we did not envision 10 years ago. The future is on our hands.

Below are screen shots of reactions by TPLF agents, Aigaforum. Tigray online and even some who we thought are in our side like Filmon Zerai is in on it. Time to change the game.
