Why do some in the opposition think that Isayas is working for Ethiopia

Post by Aurorae » 10 Jan 2020, 21:06

That is an extreme accusation and mind boggling to a logical person, and it certainly appears the logic they use to be fallacy. Is he an expansionist, one can make a strong support for that. However, if he was working to keep Eritrea part of Ethiopia, he failed back in 1991 big time  He led the struggle for almost thirty years and twenty eight years later, he is still at the helm. He has insatiable power hunger, but to say he is working for Ethiopia is very unlikely. If he is, so are the likes of Mesfing Hagos. They knew him and knew him well. When EPLF was liquidating the likes of Menkae movement and Solomon Woldemariam, Mesfin and co. and their likes were on his side. What is their excuses now? His supporters today are not gullible either. They know exactly who Isayas is. However, if he truely is working for Ethiopia , he is indeed a legend from the Ethiopian side. A man that never wavered and fought for over seventy years to reach the same objective is indeed a legend who will occupy history books and even movie houses for a long time to come. In the aftermath, Eritrea may not be able to survive as a nation. But, That is not Isayas. Isayas fought for Eritrea. He is my way or the highway. That is he who is. He has no tolerance for what he believes in. He is a Maoist. He is from the old generation. He despises the West. I believe, he wants to integrate the nations in the horn into one entity. He is running out time for that one. Eritrea is paying so dearly in his quest which will certainly not materialize in his life time. Eritrea may not survive as a nation after him. A country without a youth is not an optimistic country. He is asking too much of Eritrea. Eritrea gave him every thing it can give him. He is taking it for granted.

If we Eritrean opposition from Adwa Tigray don't make any associations between Issayas and Ethiopia, how else can we make the Eritrean people hate him? We are using a well thought out and excellent strategy that we think will advance our Weyane's agenda in Eritrea. If we can't get our Greater Tigray Republic through military means, resorting to make-believe sensational stories is the only option available to us. ኡናሸንፋለን!!

Aurorae,

If the ideal of the Ethiopian Student movement was to bring equality among the people in the Empire, PIA came to power by championing the plight of the people of Eritrea using that region's unique characteristics as a stage. Looking at the support he commands in Eritrea and the rare admiration he received visiting Ethiopia, one can say he more or less succeeded. Remember, የዛሬን አያርገውና "ሻቢያ" አንጋፋው የኢትዮጵያ የነፃነት ግንባር ተብሎ ይጠራ ነበር። :P

The more PIA/Shaebia succeed, the more he want to succeed, and the more he find a way to succeed. Dr. Abiy coming to power is the way forward. It seems PIA is having his cake and eating it too!

On the other hand, similarly, as Digital Weyane pointed out, when someone is failing, the tendency is to get on a downward spiral that can even become .. ..well, that is the story of Weyane as we are watching it live today.

Let me leave you with someone both Ethiopians and Eritreans admire most.
