General Tekleberhan W/Aregay's interview is uite sobering. An indepe[media]ndent Republic of Tigray could be the solution. There is no justice in Ethiopia. Addis Ababa takes 80% of the the country's budget. All energy is spend to develop Addis Ababa. Mekele, Tigray's capital does not get support from the federal government. One glaring example of economic discrimination is the fact The Mekelle International Airport does not get direct flights from other countries as does Addis Ababa. The government of Ethiopia puts obstacles for tourists to go to Tigray. The tourists are not allowed to spend a night in Aksum city. They just show them the Obelisks and take to Gondar for overnight stay. Now tourists can fly to Aksum via Addis Ababa and stay days and some of them weeks. There is a systemic discrimination against Tigray, which TPLF unfortunately was not able to stop even though it ruled Ethiopia for 27 years. An independent Republic of Tigray may bring peace and development to Tigray and neibghbouing countries.

However the issues of boundaries of Tigray should be dealt with before the ssecession of Tigray from Ethiopia could be negotiated. Tigray is Aksumite kingdom proper. And the territories of The Aksumite Kingdom include Gondar, Gojam, Wollo an Shewa. At east Gondar and Gojamme should under the Republic of Tigray.
