Although I kind of get the humorous chant of the youth, it trifles the dangerous political conspiracy that is being concocted by Bekele gerba or jawar even by Tekele Uma, who is handing out 23,000 condominiums without any transparency and accountability. So as the bible says there is a time for everything but in our Ethiopia case, it is not the time for goofing around while miscarriage of justices is all around us. When Ethiopians being killed because of who they are and what they believe in, we can not act as if everything is normal. We are far from being normal. Our basic right of existence is not assured yet. When we talk about ሺሻ ወይም ጫት we normalize the venomous nature of these individuals. Bekle gerba is laying the ground by calling Oromos to alienate certain groups if they fail to speak the Oromo language, where the issue of learning each other's language has never been an issue of conflict, he is inserting ethnic politics to discrimination and alienation which leads to violence. Recently what Jwars Keros were asking before killing someone was do you speck Oromoffia,? if he doesn’t answer in affirmative the kerro Mob executes death sentence on the spot. So please let us be serious, when we going to get serious about the hovering ethnic cleansing the ancient land of Ethiopia.

No, the peace and wellbeing of the Ethiopian nation is not secured yet. But consider how far the youth has grown up politically compared to its shameful state only 3-4 years ago.

The fulcrum of our national politics is Addis and the idea of the citizen as the mother of all politics. So each sector of the society has reached its level of consciousness and continues to be pulled by Ethiopian gravitational force.

The new Prosperity Party in a case in point. Now, all of the ethnic pieces on the board will shift their position relative to the new moves of EPP and also the organizing activities of EZEMA .

The net result is the weakening of tribalism, tribal romantic delusion and tribal politics. These are good signs but everything changes and changes quickly so long as we don't sustain them with sustained organizing and preparedness.

As we speak we have one party - EZEMA - that is entirely organized on the principle of the individual citizen. Then we now have EPP that is trying to balance tribal diversity with Ethiopian unity and 'respect' for the citizen (listen to Demeke Mekonnne's interview)

A good and mature debate between the two parties and their ideologies should be very enlightening; particularly on federalism, economic systems, land question, cultural rights, the constitution etc.
