Tigrayans specially resident of Mekelle, if you have any kind of a trace of honesty and integrity in your own sole rename the Mekelle stadium to "Aram Maru Stadium".

What did Aram Maru do for Tigray in his life to be rewarded, while ask Gebru Asrat, Seye Abraha, Gen. Tsadka, Gen Abebe Teklehaimanot,Tewedros Hagos, Berhane G/Kirstos and all Tigrayans who attended King Yohannes high school and will tell you everything about him.

Aram Maru was born from the true nationalist Dejach Maru of Degua Tembien and from Axum mother and he was the most defiant nationalist Tgrayan ever just like "Memhir G/Kidan Desta" and Woldeab Woldemariam for the Agaazian nationalists.

Aram Maru as the head of Tigray sport federation in Mekelle for many years and did many things to enlightening Tigray and his very noble job he did was he changed the name of "Tigre" to "Tigray". I know the whole story during Derg time, woyane was fighting in the bush and Aram Maru was fighting inside Mekelle and Addis Ababa for the liberation of Tigray from evil Amhara. During the annual provinces sport participation Aram Maru came with a new idea and from his own money he made sport uniform written at the back of the uniform says "Tigray" instead of "Tigre" we used the uniform and participated with all 14 provinces and the Amhara protested to the uniform name "Tigray". The Ethiopian sport federation punished and banned Tigray from participation for two years. When the first year of ban the annual provinces sport held without Tigray participation and Mengistu Hailemariam heard the news why Tigray did not participate. He was told the whole story and Mengistu told them let Tigray name be changed from Tigre to Tigray as used to be before the death of our king Yohannes, since then Tigray name changed for good. Woyane did not change the name from Tigre to Tigray but Aram Maru with his sport participant troops did the noble thing but no one ever mentioned this story for the whole Tigray yet.

Aram Maru deserves his name to be mortal and the name of Mekelle stadium must be changed to "Aram Maru Stadium" and Tigrayans must recognize people who dedicated for noble cause for the future identity and continuity of Tigary and I may mention that we must think about the true nationalist Tigrayan "Memher G/Kidan Desta" too to be mortal and name something in his name future Tigrayans to talk and do the noble thing for future Tigray the way Memhir G/Kidan Desta dedicated today for our generation.

Hello Mekelle stop acting "Zmexe Goytaye" and do the noble thing others to follow them like Aram Maru, Weldeab Woldemariam, Memhir G/Kidan Desta and others to stand up and advance issues matters to all Tigrayan future.
