In the under 20 CECAFA championship this month the future Ethiopian national team players lost their 3 games and went home in a jiffy while the Eritrean under 20 with all the sabotages (not only by defection, but also by unfair treatment by the organizers against Eritrea) it faced, won the bronze medal.
And today the senior Ugandan national team beat its counterpart Ethiopian team in Bahrdar (in it's own territory) 1 to 0.
Now that there is peace between the two countries, ethiopian football federation should swallow the bitter pill and hire an Eritrean coach. I want to see our region to be competitive to the west African countries.
After all Ethiopia, Egypt and the Sudan were the leading African teams in the first 3 to 4 African Cup of Nations championship games.
