Menelik II Palace in Addis Abeba, a.k.a. the Grand Palace, will be open for visitors beginning October 10, 2019, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) disclosed today.

The Palace renovations, ongoing for the past year, have almost been completed, and the building and grounds will be open to the public, according to the Prime Minister

Built under Emperor Menelik II over a century ago, the Palace rests on 40,000Sqm of land. For generations, it has been viewed as the epicentre of political power, where the most powerful family in the land resides. The renovated compound incorporates several sights of interest to visitors, including an arena, a playground, a zoo and an imperial banquet hall.

To visit the Palace, regular and VIP visitors pay 200 Br and 1,000 Br, respectively.

በመርሐ ግብሩ ወቅት ባደረጉት ንግግርም ኢትዮጵያ ዋና ከተማዋ አዲስ አበባን የማጽዳትና የማስዋብ እንቅስቃሴ የቻይና መንግሥት ለሚያደርገው ቀጣይነት ያለው ድጋፍ ምስጋና አቅርበዋል።

ከጠቅላላው የ56 ኪሎ ሜትር ሸገርን የማስዋብና የማጽዳት ፕሮጀክት ክፍል አንደኛው የሆነው ይህ የ12 ኪሎ ሜትር የግንባታ ሥራ በዚህ ዓመት መጀመሪያ ላይ ከቻይና መንግሥት በተገኘ የገንዘብ ድጋፍ የሚሠራ ነው።

ዛሬ የተጀመረው የመጀመሪያው የፕሮጀክት ክፍል ግንቦት 2012 የሚጠናቀቅ ይሆናል።

I think the attempt to beautify Addis (Finfinne) should be a good beginning, that could be spread to other parts of the country. A good job can start from a small area and then spread to other parts without the risk of being overwhelmed by the scale of the task at hand.

It is not only about beutifying the city (areal) but also take Addis as pilot project to transform the country in all aspects of life, for example introduce a mandatory school attendance of all children of the age group.

Start deploying the youth in the capital to all kinds of jobs that is geared towards promoting productivity and/or creativity of the youth themselves and /or benefit the country itself.

After you transform Addis you can simply reimplement the model elsewhere in the country and make the endeavor a nation-wide undertaking of the whole country, and transform the nation.

If they have introduced a free meal system for school children, then it is not over-demanding to ask a habit of volunteership in return, as an example and in my view.

"We won't give up until we make sure that Ethiopia is a great country for all.." The PM says as he made his speech on the inaugural ceremony of the new Unity Park. He is promising to build even larger parks that could top the ones existing in the world today. It only took a few 3 Months to construct the newly opened park that is named Unity Park. If there is a will, there is a way !

PM Abiy is really visionary. He knows that what he is doing transcends generations, ethnicities, etc. This is not just landscaping on the ground, it is landscaping of the mind as well.

In a calm, friendly, greener and pleasant environment the human mind functions differently; it gets calmer, craves for peace. That is how you change this nervous and violent Ethiopian youth gradually. Just create an uplifting space for it to reflect!

በሸገር ፓርክ ይዞታ ውስጥ ለተጠቃለለው የፓርላማ ሕንፃ መገንቢያ ተለዋጭ ቦታ እንዲሰጥ አስተዳደሩ ወሰነ::የተባበሩት ዓረብ ኤምሬትስ መንግሥት ለአዲሱ የፓርላማ ሕንፃ ከአሥር ቢሊዮን ብር በላይ ለመስጠት ቃል መግባቱ ተገለጸ::

በአሁኑ ወቅት የምክር ቤቱ አፈ ጉባዔ የሆኑት አቶ ታገሰ ጫፎ የአቶ አባዱላን ፈለግ በመከተል ሰሞኑን ባደረጉት ተመሳሳይ እንቅስቃሴ፣ የምክር ቤቱን ሕንፃ ለማስገንባት ቀደም ሲል ተገምቶ ከነበረው አጠቃላይ ወጪ በእጅጉ የላቀ ገንዘብ የተባበሩት ዓረብ ኤምሬትስ መንግሥት በስጦታ ለማበርከት ቃል እንደገባላቸው ታውቋል፡፡

የተባበሩት ዓረብ ኤምሬስት መንግሥት ለምክር ቤቱ አዲስ የሕንፃ ግንባታ በስጦታ ለማበርከት ቃል የገባው ገንዘብ መጠን 370 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ወይም አሁን ባለው የብር ምንዛሪ ተመን መሠረት 10.8 ቢሊዮን ብር ነው፡፡

የሕንፃ ግንባታውን ወጪ ለመሸፈን የተባበሩት ዓረብ ኤምሬትስ መንግሥት ቃል የገባው በአፈ ጉባዔ አቶ ታገሰ ጫፎ የሚመራ የልዑካን ቡድን፣ ከጥቂት ሳምንታት በፊት በተባበሩት ዓረብ ኤምሬትስ የሥራ ጉብኝት ባደረገበት ወቅት ነው፡፡

የሕንፃ ግንባታውን ወጪ ለመሸፈን ከተገባው ቃል በተጨማሪ፣ በሁለቱ መንግሥታት ምክር ቤቶች መካከል ትብብርን ለማሳደግና የሁለትዮሽ ግንኙነታቸውን ለማጠናከር መስማማታቸው ታውቋል፡፡

በቅርቡ በታላቁ ምኒልክ ቤተ መንግሥት የተመረቀውን አንድነት ፓርክ ለማልማት የወጣውን ከአምስት ቢሊዮን ብር በላይ ወጪ በስጦታ መልክ የሸፈነውም የተባበሩት ዓረብ ኤምሬትስ መንግሥት መሆኑ ይታወቃል፡፡

ከዚህ በተጨማሪም ከሁለት ቢሊዮን ብር በላይ በሆነ ኢንቨስተመንት የለገሀር አካባቢ የሪል ስቴት ልማት ላማከናወን በመስማማት የቅድመ ግንባታ እንቅስቃሴ የጀመረውም የተባበሩት ዓረብ ኤምሬትስ መንግሥት በባለቤትነት የሚያስተዳድረው ኩባንያ መሆኑ ይታወቃል፡፡
