We need to restore the Aksumite Kingdom
. The current situation in Ethiopia and Eritrea is simply destructive. There are tribal chefs who have weakened Ethiopia as a country. The so-called Abiy Ahmed and Lemma Mergessa group should resign and a new nationalist leader installed. Othewrwise,
Ethiopia will be destabilised and might fragment into ministates.

TPLF should take The Red Sea back and liberate Eritrea from the neocolonialist group led by Issayas afeworqi. Otherwise Tigray or Aksum's legacy is in danger. Tigrayan political elites should work more and exapnd Tigray's relation with Middle East Countries including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, Jordan etc. Tigray or Aksum is the link with our brothers and sisters from Israel, Yemen and South Arabia. We should not be ashamed of our middle eastern heritage. Tigray or Aksum is the first settlement for The Felashas. Tigray ploitical elites should promote Tigray-Israeli realtions.

The Kingdom of Aksum (Ge'ez: መንግስቲ ኣኽሱም), also known as the Kingdom of Axum or the Aksumite Empire, was an ancient kingdom centered in the Tigray Region of northern Ethiopia.[2][3] Axumite Emperors were powerful sovereigns, styling themselves King of kings, king of Aksum, Himyar, Raydan, Saba, Salhen, Tsiyamo, Beja and of Kush.[4] Ruled by the Aksumites, it existed from approximately 100 AD to 940 AD. The polity was centered in the city of Axum and grew from the proto-Aksumite Iron Age period around the 4th century BC to achieve prominence by the 1st century AD. Aksum became a major player on the commercial route between the Roman Empire and Ancient India. The Aksumite rulers facilitated trade by minting their own Aksumite currency, with the state establishing its hegemony over the declining Kingdom of Kush. It also regularly entered the politics of the kingdoms on the Arabian Peninsula and eventually extended its rule over the region with the conquest of the Himyarite Kingdom. The Manichaei prophet Mani (died 274 AD) regarded Axum as one of the four great powers of his time, the others being Persia, Rome, and China.[2][5]

The Aksumites erected monumental stelae, which served a religious purpose in pre-Christian times. One of these granite columns is the largest such structure in the world, at 90 feet.[6] Under Ezana (fl. 320–360) Aksum adopted Christianity. In the 7th century, early Muslims from Mecca sought refuge from Quraysh persecution by travelling to the kingdom, a journey known in Islamic history as the First Hijra.[7][8]

The kingdom's ancient capital, also called Axum, is now a town in Tigray Region (northern Ethiopia). The Kingdom used the name "Ethiopia" as early as the 4th century.[9][10] Tradition claims Axum as the alleged resting place of the Ark of the Covenant and the purported home of the Queen of Sheba.
Aksumite Empire territories are today part of Eritrea, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, Yemen, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

According to the Book of Aksum, Aksum's first capital, Mazaber, was built by Itiyopis, son of Cush.[18] The capital was later moved to Axum in northern Ethiopia. The Kingdom used the name "Ethiopia" as early as the fourth century.[9][19]

The Empire of Aksum at its height at times extended across most of present-day Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, Sudan, Egypt, Yemen and Saudi Arabia. The capital city of the empire was Aksum, now in northern Ethiopia. Today a smaller community, the city of Aksum was once a bustling metropolis, cultural and economic center. Two hills and two streams lie on the east and west expanses of the city; perhaps providing the initial impetus for settling this area. Along the hills and plain outside the city, the Aksumites had cemeteries with elaborate grave stones called stelee or obelisks. Other important cities included Yeha, Hawulti-Melazo, Matara, Adulis, and Qohaito. By the reign of Endubis in the late third century, it had begun minting its own currency and was named by Mani as one of the four great powers of his time along with the Sasanian Empire, Roman Empire, and "Three Kingdoms" China. The Aksumites adopted Christianity as its state religion in 325 or 328 under King Ezana, and was the first state ever to use the image of the cross on its coins

i DON'T THINK THE SO CALLED TIGRAI EXISTED AT THAT TIME. NO! EZANA INSCRIPTION NEVER MENTIONED TIGRAI BUT HIMYARITES (TODAY CALLED AMHARA). YES THE AMHARA KING CALEB SUBDUED AGAME (LIKELY TIGRES) IN EARLY SIX CENTURY.

". . . and after I had commanded the peoples near my country to maintain the peace, I entered valiantly into battle and subdued the following peoples; I fought the Gaze, then the Agame and the Siguene, and, having conquered, I reserved for myself half of their lands and their peoples. The Aua and Singabene and Aggabe and Tiamaa and Athagaous and Kalaa and the Samene people who live beyond the Nile in inaccessible mountains covered with snow where tempests and cold are continuous and the snow so deep that a man sinks up to the knees, I reduced to submission after having crossed the river; then the Lasine, and Zaa and Gabala, who inhabit very steep mountains where hot springs rise and flow; and the Atalmo and the Beja and all the people who erect their tents with them. Having defeated the Taggaiton who dwell up to the frontiers of Egypt I had a road constructed going from the lands of my empire to Egypt"

". . Ella Amida, Bisi ..s.m, king of Aksum, Himyar, Raydan, Saba, Salhen, Tsiyamo, Bega and of Kasu, king of kings, son of the invincible Mahrem."

"The Campaign against the Beja; (I). Aeizanas, king of the Aksumites, the Himyarites, Raeidan, the Ethiopians, the Sabaeans, Silei (Salhen), Tiyamo, the Beja and Kasou, king of kings, son of the unconquered god Ares"

Tigray was not a territory at the time of Aksumite Emperor. But Tigrayans were there. Himraiytes are Tigrayans. Kaleb and Abraha were Tigrayans, semetic kings as Tigrayans still have these names. There is no amhara by the name Abraha. The Amhara were not in Aksum. They were probably one of the tribes who came from west and southern africa as slaves
The Amhara call themselves "Amara", they cannot prounce the gutteral words, showing they are not Aksumites or Semetic. Tigrayans can prounce Hebrew and Arabic phrases as if it was their language, showing they are the Aksumites. You cannot be an Aksumite if you cannot speak Geez or pronounce Geez as your mothers do.

Aksum and Ethiopia are products of Tigrayan culture. Agames were not defeated by Ezana. They were part of his army. Ezana infact defeated Ethiopia. I think Ethiopia was more in today's Sudan.

WELL, ACTUALLY SCHOLARS LIKE RICHARD PANKRHEST, EVEN TIGRAI SCHOLARS AND OTHERS NOW AGREED THAT TIGRIANS WERE JUST CAPTIVE SLAVES THAT COME SOMEWHERE FROM PERIPHERIES TO SERVE AMHARA ROYALTIES AT AXUM. THEIR WAY OF DANCING WHILE CARRYING KITCHEN ITEMS IS A REFLECTION OF THEIR SERVICE

Tigrayans dance like semetic people or Europeans. Tigray culture like Ashenda, New Year celebrations are intact and reflect ancient aksumite culture. Tigrayans were slave owners and were not slaves. It is the Amhara who were slaves. They dance like West africans. They dance like Bantus, where body movements are more important (Gondar jump and move ther body)

Pankhurst says about Guraghes that they were slaves and dance like slaves.

We should be happy that Tigrayans have given the world such a beautiful culture. Their music is more semetic like Morroco or Yemen. Any way, we should not confuse the world by caliing historical legacies tha could not be part of certain tribes. Tigrayans more semetic than Amhara. You can tell from the way they speak, dance and dress. Amhara women dress like Bantu.
Farming and havesting in Tigray like the days of Aksum. The Amhara work in the fields differently, showing they were immigrants from other parts of Africa.
The Amhara have tried to falsify Ethiopia's history. they were not successful. The Amhara hate Aksum and did not even remember that it is located in North Ethiopia. The Amhara have no emotional relation to Aksumite legacies because they were not part of it.

Most importantly, almost all linguistic professionsals agree that the word "Tigre' comes from the Arabic word Tajure, meaning trader. A trader can't settle and rule a nation but always considered as a gust.
