The Oromo nation told you, there is nothing in common and if you are not same there is no the same culture. Irecha is Oromo culture and they should celebrate it in their land by themselves and other guests for the festival. What is Amhara culture, Mesqel is Tigray culture not amhara or any other ethnic. Timket is Tigray culture not Amhara, all the holidays Amhara faaarting are Tigray nothing to do with Amhara culture.

What are the values of Addis Ababans? Can you name few. Are you saying oromos have no right to celebrate irrechaa in the capital? Anyway what does your comment here make you?

1. We don't give a d a m n about your opinion. Trust that. Also, who says only Oromo can celebrate it? Is it our fault that people like you are too close minded to even study the culture, language, etc of the biggest ethnic group in Ethiopia?

2. Who made you the spokesperson for the people of addis then?

Degnet,
Yibekal aybekam malet ye oromo guday new. It is up to oromos to decide where and where not to celebrate. Besides the celebration is in oromia's regional capital, not in Mekele or Bahirdar.

Za-Ilmaknun,

I think that is the way to go, it is an Ethiopian cultural asset because it is celebrated by people who are Ethiopians (not koreans, americans, kenyans, brazilians or somebody else).

Instead of trying to build walls every where, it is better and productive to try to build bridges that will bring communities together and encourage them to build their country in unison.

If one is great, then the rest will also be great, if one fails then all the rest will also fail, and this premise shouldn't be forgotten.

Defend,

That is how I see it. Culture should be respected and its positive value shared among communities. Some people never fail to manufacture hate even out of the observance of cultural events.
