Re: The ending of the era of EPRDF and the fate of TPLF

The 55 member Central Committee of Oromo Democratic Party (ODP), which includes Takele Uma, has convened this morning. The main agenda of the meeting is to discuss on the fate of the party in light of PM Abiy Ahmed’s recent move to dissolve the existing structure of the ruling EPRDF in favor of a united party structure, the details of which is little known.

Sources close to the matter told Addis Standard that ODP’s nine member executive Committee is split into two between those who oppose the move and those who support it. However, the say by the 55 members of the CC will be crucial in deciding whether or not the party is dissolving itself to pave ways for Abiy’s proposal of a national united party; but that too depends on the final decision of ODP’s General Assembly, which is expected to convene after the CC meeting is concluded without major hiccups. In response to the strong worded but empty Statment of the CC of TPLF, the Abiy administration says it doesn't need the blessings of TPLF aka ex- God father of EPRDF to move forward with reforming the politics and administration problems of the country. The statement went on to stress that those on whom the change has come are not expected to be part of the change. The crocodile tears that TPLF is shading is a deception to once again come back to power and control the resources of the country. TPLF meanwihle has intensified its proxy war in Gondar and Afar kilil.

The lady in the discussion says..."It doesn't surprise me a bit that TPLF is deciding to part ways with its former vassals. However, I would have been more concerned if it had decided to stay within the united party that would give it chance again to create chaos and spoiler effect.
Adios TPLF and the false pretense of EPRDF.

TPLF and its senile leaders seem to be convinced that the only way out of Axum Hotel is to scarify the Tigrean youth in millions. They still are stuck in their abiyotawi democracy and the determined will to perpetuate their hegemony. They inserted article 39 believing that such a day would come and they could run away to form their Abay Tigrai. Their overtures to hoodwink Eritrea are rejected soundly and, they have no friends in the country and in the wider region. Now the liquidation of EPRDF is exposing the tiny minority junta to its bones. What a conundrum!

ODP says in its CC Statement that Abiyotawi democracy is nothing but a fake ideology to promote the minority TPLF interest at the expense of the majority of the country. ODP seem to have decided to part ways with TPLF and undo the unholy EPRDF. According to the statement, the way EPRDF as a party structured is by its nature excursionist and doesn't allow a democratic system to enshrine.

ODP in its statement further spoke about how the past 27 years of TPLF domination costed the country in terms of lost opportunities to develop and change. It accuses TPLF's dishonesty and insatiable appetite to loot the country and its people bone dry. The die is now cast and the real jolt for TPLF is in the making :| . One would wonder why TPLF isn't going for the 39th than preparing for an endless and aimless civil war. :| :|

EPRDF is back with a stinging rebuke about the spread of lies and ill propaganda by TPLF. In this first of its kind statement from the EPRDF, the party sends a clear sign that officially hits back at TPLF's grand standing and deception. Interesting time ahead!

Hey man thanks for the translation. TPLF is really confusing, I don’t know what they hope to accomplish with all this BS.
