My dear brother cigar, I agree with you totally of the dangers of organized religion.Cigar wrote: ↑13 Sep 2019, 00:21Just kill the higher religion officials of all kind and be done with it.
That is what I would have done.
Politics and religion do not mix.
The stupid, gullible people of the world want to worship even a rat or kiss a lizard's tail as their cross or crescent let them do it in their private.
Organized religion even the ones we had for centuries in Eritrea should be banned.
I don't freaking want to know what the next Eritrean worship.
Do it like you do in love making.
The likes of eden are trying to use the stupid religion to tarnish the Eritrean govt.
Religion do more harm than good.
That is why this world is screwed up.
It is just mind boggling why a sane person needs religion, 'god' or book to tell them to be good people.
And if that is why you are being good, godemet, you are not honest. You doing it because you are scared of the unknown.
There is nothing which is unknown that will punish you after you dead. You will join the dead dogs, rats, cats, (the agames will join the dead hyenas).......in mother dirt.
And F**k kudus Yohannes.
I, personally, am not a church goer; eventhough a believer. Faith is private & should remain at that. Even atheism, is a human right to me.
I don't know if you've read the Gospels, but even Christ himself said:
"My Kingdom is NOT of this world."
"Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's"
If you remember, there was this priest in the Federation era (forgot his name), who was bought off by Haile Selassie to convince Eritreans of the virtue of joining Ethiopia. He even threatened people with hell, if they opposed him. He had managed to spread fear, amongst the population. If there weren't brave & knowledgable souls to fight him then, he could've succeeded in his endeavor.
This is similar. If brave souls within the Eritrean govt hadn't stopped this, Eritrea would've been a playground for religions- "Made in the USA"- as we see in the rest of Africa.
It's like as we want our indigenous democratic evolution, the church too must be reformed or even banned (as you put it) from within, not by foreign instigators. This Ugbazghi guy for instance, was converted by an American in the 1960's by the name of: Chamberlain. Then he attempted to infiltrate the church & he's still at it, while living in the US. This is what I am opposing. Privately, people can believe or not believe. It's none of my business, really.
PS: Qudus Yohannes was beheaded for what he believed in, by a politician (Herod). I hope you said f*** to the festivities & not the man, who harmed no one.
With all my brotherly respect & love!
