The Tigre language is called "Tigrayt" by Tigre speakers. So as you can see, Tigray isa derived from Tigrayt. In fact, Tigre is closer to Geez than any other Semitic language. That is, of the three languages Tigre, Tigrigna and Amharic derived from Geez, Tigre is the closest to Geez. So the Tigre people of Eritrea, none of who lives in Agameland, are the original Geez people. The problem for Agames is that, Most of the Tigre people are Muslim. And as we know, agames have an alergy to Islam.
