Meles Zenawi's Joseph Goebbles had predicted Amharas would be the target of the 7th King's revolution

Bereket Simon had said Amhara region would be the battle ground for various entities. As predicted that is what is happening right now. He said it not because he is a genius. He said it because he was privy to information known only to the 7th King and his inner circle. He was in direct contact with the 7th King. He may even have advised the 7th King on his plan of action. He also knew the 7th King was in constant contact with the Meqele camp.

Ironically the 7th King wouldn't be in power if it weren't for Amharas. Had TPLF had its ways Shiferaw Shigute would have been the PM today. If Amharas did not join the Oromo protest by asserting the blood of Oromos is their blood, Oromos would still be protesting and dying today. Their protest might have fizzled by now.

Since the ungrateful tribalist Oromo King came to power, more Amharas than Agames have been in prison. More Amharas than agames have lost their livelihood. More Amharas than Agames have been killed and displaced from their homes. More Amharas than Agames have been victims of state sponsored terrorism, including the leadership in Bahir Dar. The 7th Kings' regime hoisted to power by Amharas is going after Amharas with vengeance.

Terrorist Ja-war Mohammed admitted that Oromos are ruling Ethiopia like it is their turn. But if we are honest to history and ourselves, was it Oromos' turn to rule? Isn't Mengistu Hailemariam an Oromo? Wasn't his revolutionary guards and security apparatus filled with Oromos? Wasn't dergue's ideological mentor Haile Fida's Meison? Weren't Mengistu's main targets of massacre Amhara elites?

Amharas are in their present predicament because of 50 years of continuous systemic oppression and exclusion. They were made to have no strong leaders. Every time such leaders come to the front, they are cut to size.

Despite the enormous obstacles facing Amhara people, they must intensify the struggle. This current regime is probably the most lethal enemy they are facing since the time of Gragn Ahmed and the subsequent Oromo invasion.
