ADP while it is responsible for more than 40 million Amharas in the current ethnically federated Ethiopia, while it has been a victim of TPLF and its right-handman leadership of Berket Semon and his minions both psychologically , politically and economically for 27 years , while it has finally with sacrifice paid by Amhara youth, and its undeniable struggle within ADP and its outreach to ODP was able to Snatch the country from TPLF grip; however, its deranged response in the current Ethiopian political development and its sluggishness is disappointing and also dangerous. This is not an invitation to be bellicose reaction , but principled and Iron stand where the unity of the country concerned, and a quick respond to fringe elements who are dividing people to further their narrow agenda and striving to impose their will on Ethiopian people in general and Amharas in particular. It is a fact that Amharas are the only one who can balance the excess that are coming from ODP leadership, who are kowtowing to jawarian radical groups . Ayatola Jwarian groupies have no other agenda except a complete dominance in all spheres of Ethiopian life. So all other nationalities cannot protect their right because of their size and proximity to power, if ADP doesn’t stand to protect its interest. Forexample ADP should have been up front in condoming all attacks on Orthodox churches, which are targeted because of its supposed close relation to Amharas. If a single mosque is touched anywhere in Ethiopia the reaction usually is unparalleled, but we have seen close to 30 Orthodox churchs burned and the OMN is waging an open war against Ethiopiain Orthodox church nobody seems to raise the issue, why? only AZMA has made statement against this but not ADP, not ODP where the majority of churches being burned. The right of Amharas who are targeted of Jewars propaganda should have been the responsibility ODP’s to protect and to tame and to stop this vinoums attack on its track. This is the responsibility of ODP to make sure that this kind of attack should not take place in the first place. If it’s not done by ODP, since it is under the clout of Jewarian radicals, its is ADPs responsibility to communicate that to ODP and it has to condom in no uncertain terms not only when it happens against Amhatas but also any nationality that is exposed to this kind of tribalist attack.
To see where ADP is left in the dust one only needs to compare what TPLF is doing and what ADP is doing. ADP has an advantage over TPLF many folds because the Ethiopian people and the different nationalities memory of TPLF killing and torture and plunder is still fresh. Not so much probing to do to expose the TPLF’s deadly tribalization project and its results, all is around all Ethiopians . ODP still seems convinced that it wants to squeeze as much benefit from Weyane and OLF designed and imposed tribal project; although it is quite aware it’s the Oromia region that is the center of uprooting and killing of other nationalities living within its regional territory. ADP it knows its Amharas who are much more affected than any other group because of this discriminatory Bantuization policy of Weyanes for 27 years ;it is puzzling whey it is hesitating to attack it head on . Weyanes forexamle howls about a handful of its spays being uprooted, not to deny there were some innocents victims, while ADP is quietly slumbers to respond where that this kind of attack has been perpetrated for 27 years and unfortunately it’s still going. Weyane Mekele has became a center of gathering for ethnic politics gangsters in the name of a conference. There are much more proEthiopian nationalist who can make a convincing argument to show the problem of Wyanes Ethnic federation. There are worldly renown intellectuals who could have presented to counter the child presentation made by 21 century tribalist in mekele. ADP could have done much better to galvanize Ethiopian nationalist by organizing conference about the dead end of Ethnic politics, but it is sleeping at the wheel. Having said that ADP is still indispensable political organization, those who are working to dismantle it instead of strengthening and reforming it don’t know what they are talking about. Given the precarious political situation currently to propagate to dismantle is a foolhardy project . It is the only capable political organization to defend Amhara, It would expose Amharas to anti-Amhara elements who are well organized and have the backing of the elements in ODP. ADP needs a new blood to keep it alert, to make it savvy and capable of responding as the situation requires.
