Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin was a Russian poet, playwright, and novelist of the Romantic era, who is considered by many to be the greatest Russian poet and the founder of modern Russian literature, but more than that, he is one of the two greatest playwrights in history, the other being Shakespear. The modern theater and cinema story telling is based on the concept left behind the two writers. But, who is Pushkin ? Pushkin was born into Russian nobility in Moscow. His father, Sergey Lvovich Pushkin, belonged to Pushkin noble families. A maternal great-grandfather was African-born general Abram Petrovich Gannibal. Abrham Gannibal was an Eritrean born Russian general. Pushkins maternal grand father and maternal great grandfather were two of the most revered Russian Generals of their time. Abraham or Ibrahim some refer to him was taken as a little boy by the turkish occupying forces in Eritrea from Dubarwa, Logochiwa. Some say from Logo Sarda, Eritrea. Since the Turkish occupying forces were in Dubarwa at the time, Logo Chiwa seems to be the logical choice. But, was little Abraham a jeberty Eritrean since his name at the time was as claimed by the Turkish Ibrahim ? Could it be that Ibrahim was actually Abraham, and the Turkish called him Ibrahim. Does it matter ? It is interesting that Pushkin had less than 25% Eritrean blood, yet he retained the Eritrean look.

BTW, Some British aristocrats descend from Abraham Gannibal, including Natalia Grosvenor, Duchess of Westminster and her sister, Alexandra Hamilton, Duchess of Abercorn. George Mountbatten, 4th Marquess of Milford Haven, a cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, is also a direct descendant, as the grandson of Nadejda Mountbatten, Marchioness of Milford Haven. British aristocrats with Eritrean heritage ?

Some people say that Elzabeth the second herself has Ethiopian blood.
