That wesagn is a bit of an exageration. But there is some truth to the contribution this will make.

There is nothing like new blood new society to rejovenate and inject new enthusiasm to religion or any social belief system.

The Tigre and Afar have long forgotten that they were at some point Oritawian, Christian..etc.

The Agew Christians are more enthusiastic than the Tigrigni and the Amhara are more enthusiastic than the Agew.

Kudus to the Kimanti, Oromo and Kunama for being able to keep their pre-Judaic faiths, even at a much reduced numbers. It takes a lot of strength to survive the Jewish, Christian and Islamic onslaught for thousands of years non stop, not to speak of the most agressive and well financed Pente and Wahabi onslaught.

The Oromo Orthodox will contribute a great deal to the continuity of the church as they are the latest edition.
