No doubt Gurage was once a large ethnic group like amhara. The 16th century adal sultalate invasion lead by Ahmed Gran and subsequent Oromo assaults relegated gurages to minority and extinction. Without no doubt, the Gurage blood and the Gafat blood can be found in the current oromo generation of central and south central shoa.

Gurages at lucky compared to the now extinct Gafat and Damot groups. At least Gurage continued to exist.

What is bizarre is that current gurages are misguided by birhannu nega bonger and are more syphatethic to tplf and olf than to their natural ally, the amhara.

I am not sure why you claim those who never said they were Guraghes as Guraghes. I happen to know Silte from "Arekit, Mugo" and the other side of the Mugo mountain around Dalocha and Kibet(Worabe) all the way to lake Abyata/Shala. They are whole Muslim unlike the rest of Guraghe and they claim to have a different root. (My belief is they are indeed Guraghe).

But my point is that just like the rest of your racist peers, you are claiming everything. You are painting everyting aroud you Guraghe.

Horus seems right. We know Gafat people were an off-shot of Mesqan or other gurages, and they were Christians that later pushed by migrating Oromos north crossing the blue Nile. Where did Gafat got Christianity? likely from their Gurage origin. Likely, Gurages were early christian settlers from ancient Axum that later expanded to Zeway lake.

Gurage do not know the zay from Adam, well I am exagerating, but the fact is that. Gurage went there long before christianity even Judaism with the defeat of the Helenics by Agazians. Zay people went there very recently long after Christainity was the religion and culture in the North.

አክሱም ሲበተን ዛሬ ጉራጌ የምንላቸው ሕዝቦች የኦሪት እምነትና ሌሎች ቅድመ ክርስቲና እምነት ተከታይ ነበሩ ። የጉራጌ መስቀልም ከግማደ መስቀል ጋር አሁን ኦርቶዶክስ ቤተስኪያ አገናኘው እንጂ የህዝባችህን ቅደመ ክርስትና ቅድመ እስልምና ባህላችህን ነው ። እሱም የጉራጌ አዲስ አመት ማለት ነው።

ታሪክ በእውነት እስከ ተነገረ ድረስ ጉራጌ ምንም ግድ የለውም ፣ ዘመን ያልፋል ፣ ባህል፣ እምነት ሁሉም ይለወጣል ። ግን የሸት ታሪክ የሚጎነጉኑ ታሪክ የሌላቸው ናቸው።

I do not know much about Gurage, but I know a lot about Zay, including the villages the group was raised from in the North.

They were gathered from different villages and sent there for a mission.
