The professor gave the correct answer if he did not read or research about Menelik. Actually I praised him for his telling the truth for not pretending and saying something he never spend time to know Menelik. The shocking part is the people who says he should have known him, why should him if he does not want to know about that evil man???
No one has given us a reason why the professor should have known, what is your argument, does the professor a history teacher even he is he does not have to know about Menelik unless he is a teacher of Qoshasha bloody forced unity Ethiopia.
How moron are you guys any educated person must know all the subjects, if one is a Dr. he must know medicine for all part of your body, he must know physics all the various engineering skills, he mast know business management, he must know astronomy and anthropology and the rest of them.

This is not about knowing or not knowing, After all izikel got his first degree in history not from Europe but from Addis Ababa university.If he knows Minilik or not he is not even worthy of a foot note to what Minilik accomplished. He is none entity entity. The same goes to Bekele gerba. Both of them are not in intellectual discovery of truth or enlightenment. What they are doing is political pimping, nothing more or less. They are afraid that the Ethiopian nationalism is going to put them out of business, so they go and make a none sense statement and make themselves a laughing stock.
