Dozens of heavily wounded Tegaru mercenary soldiers fighting alongside Houthi rebels in Yemen got captured during a fight against government forces, and they are now receiving humane medical care for their injuries.

The commissioner of the Directorate of Tebn in the province of Lahj Anis Ajili said that the large influx of Tegaru migrants from the Horn of Africa to Yemen - specifically the southern provinces - is surprising and cause for suspicion.

Ajili told Anatolia that many of these migrants join the ranks of the Houthi militias, and dozens of them have already been arrested during the ongoing fighting in the fronts of Maris north of Dali province, and Yafi province of Lahj.

He added that "the arrival of these large number of migrants from Tigray is a threat to peace and social security in the liberated provinces, especially when we are a country that does not lack disasters and crises."

"Among those coming from Ethiopia Tigray are criminals and bandits, and some of them are suffering from various diseases such as cholera and dengue, which necessitates the rapid intervention of the international community to return them to their country," he said.

According to the latest IOM statistics, the number of Tegaru migrants who arrived in Yemen illegally during the first three months of 2019 amounted to more than 37,000.

Is this a good strategy for TPLF?

Yemeni's Houthi rebels battling the government have received tens of thousands of fighters from Tigray to help them fight against the Saudi and UAE backed government of Yemen. The Tigray fighters receive a monthly salary of $100, which is 10 times more than the average salary in Tigray.

Rest In Peace to the brave Tigray Che Guevaras who died in foreign land.
