The Oromo are no More Fighting for Freedom, but Securing our Sovereignty!

Oromo activists seem to be still in a mode of fighting against the already defeated alien oppressive forces. Actually, this phase of struggle for freedom/bilisummaa is over. Now, we are in a phase, where we have no hinderance from excercising our sovereignty/walabumma to implement our programs. If there is any force at all standing before us to inhibit our move is the ruling Oromo party – the ODP. I personally don’t think that the ODP is against Oromo’s sovereignty. It’s leaders are just very cautious not to offend their Habesha partners (ADP and TPLF). Thus, what Oromo activists now should do is to push for our sovereignty/walabumma by pressuring the ODP, instead of using the old method of fighting against the already defeated Habesha forces.
